Am I going to be worked to the bone if I join a group where I’d be the only associate supporting partners and counsels? It’s a subgroup of a corporate practice that focuses on a specialized area with great exit options and operates as a support group for other transactional and/or lit groups (like tax or IP). It’s a newly created position meaning there aren’t any previous associates that I can ask about their experience. I really like type of work the team does but worried about being miserable.

EY-Parthenon can someone de-mystify EYP's team structure? Applied for role that says "this relates to UK Corporate and Growth Strategy only", and not Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE), and then there's turnaround and restructuring strategy mentioned separately as the third core focus area. Website vacancies reference other teams, and some have "executive" roles and some consultant. What is what here? Also where's the place to be and where to avoid at EYP, and why? Hi! I support a high level c suite exec and am very close with them. I know they are very happy with my work but the firm cannot offer me a perm role (currently on as contract). They are known to be quite quick tempered (although never to me, it’s just one of those relationships where I’m like the golden child iykyk). But I’m interviewing for FT roles bc I need the benefits. When the day comes, how do I let my exec down easy? I think it surprise them and let them down a bit

My group basically dissolved after some restructuring and now there’s no real leadership or pipeline. I’ve been trying to pivot internally but can't get any real traction. I've had to move the same 12-person meeting twice already this week. My exec seems to think I can snap my fingers and everyone else will magically be free. How do you deal with an exec who doesn't get how hard it is to coordinate a huge group? It’s so frustrating.
