Toddler and newborn at home. The toddler is constantly sick in the first year of school. In the last month in their class alone they’ve had cases of rsv, parainfluenza, strep, roseola, and now our kid has the flu. They got the entire school together the morning after Thanksgiving break. This has made us question their precautions. Is this amount of illness normal and what do others do with a newborn at home? Should we pull the toddler from school? Our newborn has been sick twice already.

The stomach bug has hit our house. Just wonderful! I tend to think I am pretty careful about being around sickness, but this hit fast and unexpected. Of course, last week we had numerous kids with it, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The fatigue that comes with it is unreal. I slept most of yesterday and still feel exhausted. Vitamins and supplements sure didn't keep this away. Do you have a health regimen that has built your immune system to the point that you are resistant to the flu?

Advice needed: I've worked through having Flu A since Christmas Eve. Worked the day after Christmas with 103.5 fever. My store manager was on vacation so I just sucked it up. I called in and went to the ER and upon returning to work off the clock I was written up for being rude to a customer. I was also told I had been previously coached about it before but they didn't and don't have to document it. I work in Missouri and its a right to work state. Do I have any rights to appeal the write up?

Do you find that your team members in India take more sick days than US? On my team in the US, we work from home if we get a cold but are generally still able to work. Being too sick to work happens to each of our US team maybe 1-3 times a year. My team in India takes 1-2 sick days per month. Are they actually too sick to work and that level of illness is more common? Or is there a cultural difference that you don't work if not feeling well?

On Wednesday, a contract I was working on ended which the communication was very little and thanks to a colleague I found out 3/4 through the 3.5-4-month contract that we were earning sick time and the agency had listed the need for COVID vaccine verification (after I called them out on it they admitted to needing to update the listing). I have had both good and bad experiences with agencies over the years although just need to be careful with the agency you are working with.

Outside sales for many years, catch the flu regularly Anyone else who does trade show circuit, spends 100+ nights in hotels get sick regularly? I catch the flu at least once or twice a year. It's starting to drive me crazy. I try everything to stay clean and healthy, but ffs, I'm always catching some terrible flu. Company doesn't care either. Still need to get shit done even if I'm on my death bed. I feel like we need hazard pay.

I can't help but wonder how many times the flu bug is going to sweep through my family. My daughter and I have both had it twice, and now my husband has it!!! In spite of taking vitamins, fire cider, and other supplements, I cannot think of whatever you so to build the immune system. Due to my surgery, I only have one Sick day left. What is the best regimen that anyone has used to build your immune system?

A coworker showed up to work this past Tuesday with full-on stomach flu symptoms. She said she couldn't leave us short-staffed. She was here for maybe 3 hours, touching door handles, keyboards, and bathrooms before leaving early. Fast forward to today, and I'm getting sick. I'm SO angry at her and plan to tell her there's no excuse for coming in when you're that contagious. Am I overreacting?

New parent here. I feel like I’ve just been sick all fall and winter alongside the kiddo. Didn’t know my immunity was this terrible. I’m starting to worry my team feels l’m slacking but between daycare breaks due to baby’s sickness and being sick myself, I haven’t been able to give it my 100%. Is this normal? What can I do to make up for it?

I'm on the struggle bus. I just got home from being out of town for Christmas and the day I was supposed to go back to work I got Influenza A 🤦. Which you may be thinking, more time off yay! But I have bills to pay so I need to get back to work!! Plus obviously having the flu is not fun. Any suggestions on things that help you get over a flu faster?
