      Healthcare

      Behavioral Health Clinician

Lately I’ve been thinking that the most valuable skill in healthcare isn’t clinical expertise anymore, it’s emotional endurance. The ability to absorb stress, grief, anger, and constant pressure without breaking seems more rewarded than actual skill or knowledge. That realization worries me. It feels like the system is built to test how much people can take rather than how well they can care. Does anyone else feel uneasy about what that says about where healthcare is headed?

Elevance Health truly care about their employees not just by words but actions, they want you to have an overall balance life. The intense trainings will equip you to be your best at your job.

I’m a Radiologic Technologist with a bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences and recently became an Epic Radiant Non-Invasive trainer. For the past two years I’ve been trying to transition into healthcare informatics or analyst roles but haven’t had success getting interviews. I’m passionate about improving clinical systems and workflows. What skills, certifications, or experiences would you recommend someone with a clinical background develop to break into healthcare IT or informatics?

I'm really not certain where to post this. I'm currently in a Municipal Advisory role and have been interested in returning back to school to complete my Master's in Healthcare Administration with a Compliance focus, and then complete either the CHC or CHPC certifications. I don't currently know anyone in a Compliance role, rather it be Healthcare or anywhere else. I would love to meet new people in the field that can give me some insights and advice. Please comment if you're willing to chat!

A healthier career doesn’t end with following the “right”- career choice… this is arguably just the start. It also depends on how you go about that career to make sure it meets your professional & personal needs. This includes looking after your own mental, physical & social wellbeing. It’s not easy to prioritise our own health though, especially when you work in industries which have literally trained you to put the health of others first. Continued in the comments. 🤍

Still on the job market since March, but keeping busy and growing. During this time, I earned my Certification in Public Health (CPH) and advanced my Lean Six Sigma certification to Green Belt (LSSGB). If you know of any opportunities in health tech or Bio-Pharm, please feel free to reach out. A sincere thank you to everyone who has already shared leads or extended support! Please refrain from soliciting resume writing services and recruiting services with added cost.

I’m currently working in pharmacy and have become very interested in the technology side of healthcare — particularly healthcare IT and informatics. I’d love to connect with professionals who’ve gone through this journey or who work in pharmacy informatics, EHR systems, or healthcare data analytics. I have my bachelor’s in information technology specializing in cybersecurity and currently getting my masters in computer science specializing in software engineering.

I’ve been working in healthcare integrations for a while now and have strong hands-on experience with Corepoint and MEDITECH . I’d love to broaden my skill set, but I keep running into the same roadblock: Epic and Cerner are hard to break into because you have to be sponsored to get formal training or access.Given that reality, what integration engine or interoperability platform would you recommend learning next? I do have access Microsoft certifications training.

I have been looking for a job in healthcare. I have experience in the field as a bilingual scheduler as well as a referral associate and 25 years of administrative assistance. I have applied for all sore of positions I believe I would be a good fit with the proper training. I've have had excellent reviews from my previous performances. Just few phone or zoom interviews that went well. Im starting to think that they do discriminate by age and race.

I firmly believe that networking and connections are so important in every profession. However, no one teaches us in medical or dental school how to prepare for the real world. How do you go about finding mentors in the healthcare world? I feel like people in business and tech have options such as LinkedIn? What can we use as a healthcare professional to network. I feel like I barely find any dentists on LinkedIn. What has worked for all of you in the past?
