      Jobs in STEM

      Research Chemist
      4mo

I recently graduated with my PhD in Analytical Chemistry. During my PhD, I researched surface modification and electrochemistry for CO₂ reduction, gaining hands-on experience with PVD, XPS, etc. Although I recently graduated, I have been applying since October, albeit unsuccessfully. I’m particularly interested in jobs where I can continue to use my surface chemistry and electrochemistry background, ideally in surface, materials, or related R&D roles. I appreciate any advice or referrals.

Hello everyone I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Engineering Konkuk University South Korea. And i am expecting to graduate in August 2026. My research focuses on waste to energy technologies, particularly hydrogen-rich syngas production from sewage sludge using microwave-assisted pyrolysis. I’m looking to connect with professionals in sustainable energy, and related fields, and would appreciate any insights on career paths and opportunities as I approach graduation. Thanks

I'm currently waiting on my CFE certificate (passed my final exam, in for review), and wanted to see if there were any resources or programs where I could learn more fraud analytics or similar skills in the meantime? I would like to familiarize myself with the detection software before I apply for jobs, as I'm making the transition from Accounting (been in the industry nearly 20 years) to my passion of Fraud Analyst/Fraud Investigator, as I have finally found my calling. Thank you!

PwC's report got me thinking about new ways to generate liquidity, especially beyond the typical exits. They mentioned spin-outs and targeted asset sales. My team's digging into these options more. What's been your experience? Are you seeing real traction with them, or are there some specific challenges you've run into?

I’ve been thinking about going back to school for a master’s in HR or organizational psych. Partly out of interest, partly to deepen my work around compliance and workplace culture. But I worry it’ll be seen as “fluff” next to my JD. I want to expand my toolkit, not waste time or money. Does it actually help in practice?

Litigators: I just transitioned from a BL corporate shop to doing BL lit full time and I am So. Damn. Tired. What tools and strategies do y'all use to turn your brains off and decompress? Would love feedback beyond alcohol and weed, although I know that's common. TIA!
