4.0 Boeing uses digital twins. Airbus employs AR for efficiency. Lockheed Martin and GE Aviation use 3D printing for F-35 parts and LEAP nozzles. Siemens’ smart factories use cobots and IoT. Rolls-Royce and Delta use predictive maintenance via IoT. Airbus’ ZEROe and Safran’s hybrid systems target decarbonization. Boeing and Northrop Grumman enhance supply chains with SAP and blockchain. NASA and Honeywell apply ML for design and safety. Airbus and Lockheed train workers in robotics and AI.

I have a robust portfolio of industry-recognized certifications, I am actively pursuing a remote, career-track role with a leading technology company. My credentials include certifications, reflecting a strong foundation in cybersecurity, systems administration, and emerging technologies. I am on track to graduate in December and bringing with me not only technical proficiency but also the flexibility of an empty nester ready to travel as needed. My goal is to go where I can make global changes.

      The Worklife Bowl

      Systems Engineer
      2w

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with working as a Computer Hardware Engineer at General Atomics (Poway,CA) and if anyone can share any insight on what the day to day and work-life balance looks like for this company and this position. I am currently being considered and wanted to learn more before making a decision. It sounds to me like it is about providing system admin and engineering to GCSs. Any insight on the culture and leadership will also be appreciated. Thank you!

      Career Pivot

For the last 10+ years, I've built large initiatives from the ground up. I've managed partnerships across schools, businesses, higher education, government, and community organizations. I'm well-regarded in my field and among peers; however, I'd love to switch industries (renewable energy; tech; or shipping & logistics), and I'd love advice. My former companies were smaller boutique firms or start-ups without big brand-name recognition. Also, open to relocation (especially outside the U.S.).

      UK Tech

      Technical Program Manager

Any folks who work for a US Tech company, are any of you considering the move to UK/European Tech? Or if you have done so, what are the pro's/con's? My company is a merger of 4 tech companies under 1 umbrella (2 US, 1 Israel & 1 UK company), their HQ is in America, and is heavily US-centric in culture & workforce. With the Iran war, plus the other things that I personally don't support re US-Israel, I've been wondering if there are more job opportunities opening up in European Tech?

I recently finished my PhD in Wireless Power Transfer and Power Electronics at KUST, China, focusing on KHz-range EV charging and EMI reduction. I’ve published in Wireless Power Transfer (Cambridge Univ. Press) and Actuators (MDPI) and hold a Chinese patent. I’d love to connect with professionals or mentors in the UK ,Europe, Australia or Gulf countries for advice on postdoc or lecturer opportunities in power and energy research.

which companies in big tech or other industries still have a decent or semi decent culture? From what I hear, even the good big tech cultures have been destroyed over the past year or two with layoffs, RTO and other mantras around "high performance" and "productivity" which are used as an excuse to multiply workload, promote internal competition among peers & individualism while reducing benefits
