Now im surfing on my gfs couch. walked the downtown area for 3 hours going store to store to see if anyone is hiring and got 3 apps in. I also have over 30 online apps with my resume on.

Is there a gray area? It seems like ID firms in my L/MCOL region pay $75k for ≈ 1800 yearly billables or $100k for 2000+ hours. I’ve left multiple interviews feeling disheartened. 8-9 hours billed a day, with the occasional weekend, seems excessive for $100k. I’d love to switch to plaintiff work, but taking home $60k-$70k and praying for bonuses to roll in is unsustainable right now. No one is going to pay me more than me, but I know that starting my own firm will come with new challenges 😩.

decent paying gov job it has pension (i do pay about 900$ month into pension) that will give about 70% of highest salary for life; it also gives good medical for life upon retirement. I am in my mid 30's I want to swtich jobs to higher paying salary about 15% more pay no pension however does have 6% 401k match and also they put in 5% in yout 401k weather you contirubte or not so total 11% of 401K from them. my current job provides great work life balance but I am capped on growth. advice?

How do people lateral and get integrated? I lateraled from the government to big law 6 months ago. In the government I did some tasks which above my year here and other tasks in my new job are new. My group is on the small size so even though it’s free market there’s not tons of places to go to ask for work and also there’s not lots of associates they can give work to. We’re definitely super slow right now as a group. How do I try to get work in other groups? Im a fourth year.

This task is shown as GO Gating: Initial Questionnaire (140/above). And I now have 2 active applications for the role I applied for in Workday. Does anyone know what this means? Is it sent to all candidates in the final round as an admin step that doesn't indicate anything? Thank you!

How is Gartner as an employer?I am Interested in a senior director role in IT Strategy Consulting. I do not have any direct connections there and no idea how this company is except the Gartner magic quadrant. How does the sr. Director role compare to a manager at Big 4. Is it higher on level or same? Also, the pay scale posted is lower than what I am making today. Any chances they would move the scale if they want the candidate?

DO NOT work for Gatcha at Perimeter Mall. They have no clue how to run a business and most of the staff have left. The "manager" there has no clue what she's doing. Some employees left within a week of opening because they were passed over for the position they were initally hired for. Diabilities were treated with disregard, including the "manager" gaslighting an employee for use of a mobility aid.
