Last week I was let go from partner atty because of a Zoom link that didn't work for him. We don't use zoom at this firm we weren't trained on it also. Previous firms that I worked for didn't use Zoom so I didn't have 2 much experience with zoom, I did get him a link and a log in host information, but he was unable to get on. I've been at this firm for almost 3 years & now they I'm not doing a good job. He is a bully & so is the lead secretary. He treats others like they are beneath him.

I have a LinkedIn professional account showcasing my skills, expertise and services. I used that platform to apply for a remote medical writer for Precision Medicine Group. I did the interview via Teams and it was flawless. I was offered a remote job, signed the offer letter and they sent me a check to deposit so I could purchase a workstation that would have their appointed apps. Low and behold the check was returned! SMH I'm glad I'm legit! My community will be legit! Shift With Ebony 💜🔥

I have a question kind of a rant as well. Are there any actually honest companies out there? Last job for example interview for a sales/account rep position. Go over my experience go over a couple ideas I had seemed great. Day one welcome to the warehouse with a promise of oh everyone starts here you'll start your sales in a couple months. Then start to notice everyone is leaving/ retiring get worried. Then new guy shows up find out he's a relation to the owner. Guess who got my sales pos.

I forwarded my Coordinator resume to a "supposed client" of a well-known school. 2 weeks later I heard from this individual: a retired real estate attorney ( I did find her online). She told me she needs a remote administrative assistant at $40.00 an hour with benefits. A week later, she assumes I'm available and says the position is mine. No interview, nothing. She will be sending me info. to book flights and hotels with the "formal paperwork" to follow. Concerning. Alarm bell scam?

I’m a non-equity partner interviewing to lateral to another firm, and they sent me an LPQ to fill out last week. Only the equity partners and accounting staff at my firm have direct access to some of the information this is requesting (like realization rates). Anyone have advice on how to get that info without raising red flags at my current firm? Or should I just tell the new firm that I can’t access that information from our system?

First job out of big 4 consulting and I’ve soon realised how much of a lie you’re sold to stay in consulting, ridiculous how much is asked of us for not enough ££. I get it suits some personality types (those I probably wouldn’t be friends with in my actual life) but wow. Feels like I’m getting my mental health back
