Any insight on how to escalate in HDFC india, sent about $25K to my mom as a gift for her to change our old car. Sent a bank to bank transfer - it's reached HDFC about 20 days ago and they keep asking for paper work after paper work : undertaking that it's a gift, copies of my passport, prove the relationship, multiple forms. My parents are old and feeling intimidated by the bank red tape - it's legit post tax money sent as a gift. Any suggestions who I need to speak with ?

Working at a bank where management aren’t leaders, cower when corporate visits and run a skeleton crew 6 1/2 days a week. I updated my résumé catered to Client Finance (I’m really interested in a career in the Wealth Management industry). I’ve been moved to the 2nd phase of hiring with BoA for a “Consumer Investments - Investment Specialist Trainee” role, have an interview next week for Fidelity’s “Customer Relationship Advocate” and UBS Bank’s (Client Service/Client Associate). Any advice?

O.K. things have been moving behind the scenes, let's discuss last week's key developments now shaking up compliance! The CFPB proposed narrowing section 1071 small business lending data rules-raising thresholds to 1,000 transactions and updating revenue defs to $1M- while easing fair lending burdens amid their funding woes. I am a small business seeking for funding, so this directly affects my next moves. PayPal filed for a full bank charter to expand lending. I use PayPal daily, do you?

During 8.5 years at SBI, I learned that banking is about people, not just processes. Handling 200+ daily transactions, guiding first-time account holders, and supporting women-led groups taught me empathy, trust, and professionalism. Now in Vancouver, I’m excited to bring these values to the Canadian banking sector and continue making a positive impact for customers. #BankingExperience #CustomerService #FinancialServices #NewcomerJourney #VancouverJobs

Anybody have a bank that they like? Recently married and looking to make a new joint account for joint expenses & bills (pls don't give me advice about that it's happening). Also need to finally break up with Bank of America because... well basically everything about that company. Who do you use and why do you recommend them? Heard good things about Ally, a good choice? Anyone use the banking offerings from Fidelity/SoFi/Wealthfront?

I just got a job as a CEA at TDBank in Montreal. I am already thinking about what the next step would be. I know PBA is next, but I'm thinking more in long term. If I want to pursue a career in Finance, what would you recommend I go for next? Which internships in banking should I apply for? Certifications, CFP or CFA? If you could restart your career path in Finance, where would you go? Any insights would be suuuuper appreciated. Thank you!

I’ve been working in the fincrime domain for ~2 years, starting at NatWest and later joining Revolut’s FIU after a 1.8-year stint at RBI, driven by an 80% hike and WFH. While the exposure and pay are good, the role is mentally demanding with long hours. Currently on probation and recently moved to a business vertical, I’m exploring a shift to entry-level finance roles. I’m CFA L1 qualified with a B.Com (Hons). Any ideas or suggestions?

Working as a Senior Salesforce Administrator at ClearBank has been a great experience. I’ve had the chance to work with a modern Salesforce setup, take real ownership of the platform and collaborate with supportive teams. There are plenty of opportunities to grow your technical skills and make a real impact across the business. It’s a good place to work if you’re able to balance the fast pace and occasional stress.

Open Finance and Financial Data Access (FiDA) Regulation Open Finance is an extension of Open Banking, broadening the scope to include a wider range of financial services beyond basic banking services. It allows third-party providers to access customers’ financial data across various service categories such as loans, savings, investments, insurance, and pensions, with the customers’ consent.
