If you work for a company that offers remote work and is generally not terrible to work for, please share the name of the company. Now that fidelity will require full RTO, I am looking for somewhere that won't require me to commute in just so I can sit in zoom meetings from the office where literally none of my team is colocated.

Networking isn't just about LinkedIn, it's about gaining actionable intel. Last year, a former colleague told me their company had a $180k base for a role similar to mine; $40k above my cap. That info gave me the leverage to demand a market rate adjustment during my review, and I got it. Your network is a realtime map of what you're actually worth. Stop just connecting and start trading data with people you trust. Who in your circle is brave enough to talk real numbers with you?

      Job Hunting in Tech

Working on a short project designing and developing a CNC Router/Milling Machine to do automotive wheel rims repair. Designed the mechanical hardware using extruded aluminum, worm gears and stepper motors. That was it for the actual machine hard part. Then developed the electronics proof of concept using Arduino and 4 stepper motor drivers for a 3 axis CNC Mill/Router. After wards, I continued to developing the PCB for a final commercial product.

Nobody warned me about this one. I just started at a tech startup (voAIce formerly TheCRM) that doesn't believe in email sequences for outreach. Here's the kicker — I asked about this during my interview. Specifically. By name. "Do you have HubSpot email sequences in place?" "Yes, absolutely." ✅ they did not. I did my due diligence. I asked the right questions. I still walked into this. Toxic environment from top down

Does anyone know what it's like to work for Centurion transport in Richlands as an Account Mgr? Do they allow you to be autonomous and work from home plus work life balance. Do they have good customer support systems and commercial team members to assist with reporting. Do they have a great transport booking platform and tracking? What are drivers like? Ate the team inclusive team oriented people. Are managers supportive and no egos.

If you had to pick one, what is the best mileage program to use when traveling? I know that it is very dependent on hubs but is there a general one that stands out regardless of location in the US/Europe? In my experience I have found United to be very good but I have also heard a lot of problems with them too.

I’m in NYC making $210k TC, and I feel like I’m one bad month away from being priced out of my own life. My high salary feels surprisingly middle-class. I see people moving to low-cost-of-living areas and keeping their salaries, and I’m starting to get major FOMO. Is the tech hub tax still worth it for anyone?
