After reading, just part of this article, it makes me feel that I would have to become a one man agency/research center for myself. Or more likely go back to college, and get a special 2-4 Year degree in job searching, just so I can find a job in several years. Just to find that this current strategy would be outdated by then and be put back in the exact same unemployed position I am now! https://www.forbes.com/sites/rachelwells/2025/06/18/job-hunting-is-a-trap-use-this-chatgpt-strategy-instead/ Job Hunting Is A Trap. Job Hunting in Tech

I've been hunting over a year for an SVP / CCO / MD role. I've only found THREE highly suitable jobs in that time that I'd really smash, but I didn't get any of them, Always down to the last two. Always from a headhunter. Always multi-month processes. I've also applied for HUNDREDS of more junior roles none of which I've got, but I treat any interviews as good practice. It's so easy to get disheartened, even for a naturally positive and optimistic person. It's just completely exhausting.

      Ask A Recruiter - Insurance

Seeking some advice from insurance recruiters. I am currently job hunting and keep seeing multiple listings that I actually have the skills for at the same companies. I want to be aggressive in my search without looking like I am just spamming every open req. If you see the same name pop up for different roles, do you view that as being proactive or just a lack of direction?

Any advice for a job hunter? Moved back home from South FL to Huntsville, AL in May. Experience is progressive but varied and everything seems so specialized with the arsenal here. Seem to be at the stage where even lateral moves want an MBA or CPA so looking into MBA. Currently have BS in Finance abd AS in Accounting. Resume gap is getting wider every day.

I was just laid off again after working for only a few months. My job hunt in 2025 lasted six months, but I managed to secure a full-time position without a pay cut, which felt like a victory at the time. If you've been job hunting anytime since 2025, how long did it take you? Just wondering what I'm up against.

Has anyone actually landed a better role through a recruiter? I’m looking to shift into more high-end commercial work, but I don't have a clue where to start looking for a headhunter who specializes in this area. Is there a specific platform where they hang out, like LinkedIn?

I keep hearing that January is the best time to job hunt because budgets reset and hiring ramps up. That gives me hope, but also pressure to start the year sprinting instead of easing in. I don’t want to burn out on day one of 2025. How are you approaching job hunting in January?
