I've been hunting over a year for an SVP / CCO / MD role. I've only found THREE highly suitable jobs in that time that I'd really smash, but I didn't get any of them, Always down to the last two. Always from a headhunter. Always multi-month processes. I've also applied for HUNDREDS of more junior roles none of which I've got, but I treat any interviews as good practice. It's so easy to get disheartened, even for a naturally positive and optimistic person. It's just completely exhausting.
