      Job Hunting in Tech

So I was at a technical stage of the interview. They aren't currently working in my stack but they said they were agnostic. 45 minutes. Build a client to call a complex API with non-standard response, parse it and solve the algorithmic task on it. It was an online IDE which supported my language but very pporly - no prompts, no intellisense etc. Not a standard entry point so some things that'd normally work did not. Ended up googling every little thing, ran out of time. I feel like a failure.

I need help. I work at Accenture in the EU. I started a fun IG page yapping about AI literacy, and in 3 months it has blown up. I now need to tell them at ACN, to be like “y’elloo, I have a content page, just fyi!” Cause I would need to put any income in my taxes and in my contract ACN needs to know… Anyone have advice how this process goes? Like… who to tell and how and stuff? HR can be extremely annoying and petty just to make life difficult… and I don’t want this to be soured for me. Help!

Hi , Is it advisable to become a TLM -> EM Vs staying as an IC (SSE-> Staff->Principal) ?The reason for my question is because on one side -> due to AI/Claude Code , lots of engineers are getting laid off as AI agents can do the work for you , so staying in IC also is risky .However , choosing a TLM -> EM path also has its consequences as first line managers are being letgo due to org flattening (only exp might stay),Which is a slightly safer path for the next 1-3 years?

Early in my career, I assumed climbing the ladder meant becoming a manager. I even considered taking a team lead role just for the pay bump. But lately, I’ve seen Staff and Principal ICs at my company bringing in serious comp. Sometimes even more than Directors, with less stress. I’m starting to rethink everything. Do you think the IC path is finally getting the respect (and money) it deserves?
