GIMS Sanction - has anyone had any issues with holding a S&S ISA account in Invest Engine ? It was not listed on my GIMS and it was recorded in my Personal Independence record but the individual ETFs were not. So it’s flagged a non compliance and I’ve had an email saying they are investigating and waiting to hear back on what sanction I’ll be given. How bad is this situation ? About £20K in it and passive ETF funds mostly that I just overlooked importing into GIMS. Has been there for 2 years.

Is starting in IB as a 36 year old associate a terrible idea? I have deep sector expertise based on many years working in a particular niche, followed by several years of post-mba strategy consulting in that same niche, at a boutique. The pay sucks, and the pay for the exit opps in this niche also suck. No spouse no kids, used to late nights from my current job, although I don't do nearly as many as I would do in IB. Tns of commercial DD experience and revenue forecasting experience.

Need advice from thos who work as an IB. So i am currently working as an auditor for almost 3 years and looking forward to switching my career to Investment Banker. I have applied to so many firms (including boutique investment banking firm), yet I did not get any responds. I have a plan in order to break into IB either take certification (WSP, CFI, BIWS, etc) or join MBA or finance. What step i should take guys? Please advice
