Toddler was left outside alone at daycare and found by a stranger near road 10 minutes later. DOH briefly closed the center but reopened without answers. CPS hasn’t provided information, daycare deleted their app and is withholding our deposit, and no lawyer will take the case because there was no physical injury. My child is now traumatized and acting out by getting angry and violent outbursts. Anyone know a lawyer to take on our case in a civil suit against the daycare? We are heartbroken.

My wife and I are heading towards divorce. We have one kid, two years old. We live in an HCOL city and I will probably pay child support, but she can support herself. We are trying to do 5050 custody, 223 split. I’m a senior associate up for partner soon. I don’t have any family in the area to help. How do I keep up with childcare without falling down at work? Any tips? It’s been hard finding someone consistently available in the evenings after daycare.

Good parenting prevails!! I have a 5 year old student that was on an IEP that turned 5 a few days before the cut-off for this school year. His parents put him in full day kindergarten even though he has really been struggling. During parent teacher conferences, the parents were convinced that holding him back another year would be more beneficial to their child, and so they pulled him! I think it was the right call. The services will still be here if he needs them when he returns next year.

My mom and dad are visiting me in the US from India next month for about 3–4 weeks. I’m looking for advice on what travel/health insurance would be best for them to stay covered during their trip. They are planning to get ICICI insurance from India. Does anyone have experience with it? Or is it even worth it Would love to hear your tips or experiences, and if you have any insights on the cost, that would be helpful too

These people are idiots. Making policy decisions that hurt kids on something that "might" happen. Every reason given for the change is pure conjecture. "They argued that past safety studies of the vaccine in newborns was limited and it’s possible that larger, long-term studies could uncover a problem with the birth dose." Guess what? Newer long term studies could also show it's just as safe now as it always has been.
