PwC = JPMorgan Chase or Citi — massive, global, diversified, highly respected, but not always the #1 prestige name in strategy-only circles. McKinsey = Goldman Sachs — smaller scale but the undisputed prestige leader in advisory. Bain & BCG = Morgan Stanley & Lazard — elite, focused, heavy on prestige in specific segments. Deloitte (D) & EY = Bank of America & Barclays — large, global, respected. I think one can argue D = JPM.

Curious, where does customer Insights and research sit in your organization? Have you ever seen it as a standalone function? What is the career tragectory like? Asking because I am currently a Sr.PM at a start up. The CEO likes my customer research work I have been doing and wants me focus on it full time and suggested I create a new research function at the company. This scares me a bit because historically I've never seen research as its own function and I'm worried of hitting a ceiling.

I have been a statistical analyst at CDPHE for the last 3.5 years working with surveillance data. Before this i was a clinical research coordinator at children't hospital after getting my MPH. I want to transition to global health work (my MPH is in epidemiology and global health) and away from data-heavy roles, and do work more related to social determinants of health rather than diseases. What are next roles to look for to give me experience that will help me qualify for global health roles?

Anyone work for United Health Group/Optum Insight? There is a position open and after being laid off from my job in October Im wondering if this would land me back in the same spot.
