Is K a sinking ship? I just found out that the team who joined from PwC three years ago, and who have been managing our most profitable account, are leaving the firm soon. They didn’t like sharing their profits with lazy partners, which honestly makes sense. Also, we’ve closed one of our two floors in Riyadh. I wouldn’t be surprised if both shut down soon, given how few people are showing up. It’s sad.

Why are folks on here so jealous of Kirkland. It’s ultra selective, everyone is smart and collegial, it provides good WLB on balance, and it’s by far the best brand in the legal profession. Yet everyone seems to say bad things about K&E at least once a week on FB big law bowl.

Can someone confirm K&E is KKR’s go to firm on mid/large PE deals? If yes, did they take over from a previous firm?
