      Senior Associate- for the first time in my career, I do not trust the judgement of the partners I work with- so much so that I do not want to put my name on the briefs. I came with the group to the firm so hard to escape internally. I also recently found out I am pregnant so lateraling/ in house would be hard, but anxious to work with the group. What would you do?

      If a small specialized lit group gets poached by another firm, is it bad to join their group at the already-established firm they went to? They are building it out at the established firm and looking for associates at other firms for now, but not sure if folks have experience with that. Seems like a good way to pivot into a specialty, but worry about the risk too.

      Gympass/Wellhub Question - Me and SO both work for Big4 (different companies). Both have Wellhub/Gympass discount rates. What is most economical option? 1. One person get the Wellhub membership and then add family member? (read earlier posts stated that the family members don't get discounted rates?) 2. Get our separate memberships?

      Curious if anyone knows if biglaw groups are generally open to lateral partners from in-house positions with no book but presumably connections. Think niche areas like IP, environmental, etc. left biglaw as a well regarded senior associate and have been in-house about 6 years as the head of my specialty.

      I’m a junior at a V20 looking to retool (firm screwed me over when it came to practice group). Should I use a recruiter or get referrals? I’m lucky enough that I have a strong network and can get referred at several shops, but I’ve never done this before and don’t want to screw this up.

      If I want to go to Big4 out of a tax LLM but want to keep the door open to law firms later, are there any Big4 groups I should avoid applying to? I’ve heard I should avoid compliance roles, but there are some roles where it’s difficult to tell from the job description.

      We had a bunch of layoffs this week and I learned that the people at lower levels in the hierarchy were told in a group setting and people at higher levels were told individually. Is this normal? Seems like they could have at least given them the dignity of telling them one on one.
