      Career Advice for Students

      Quality Inspector
      7mo

I’m graduating in Mechatronics Engineering (Jan 2026) and I want to start a career in automation and robotics. I’ve worked in quality/manufacturing for over 10 years. I have built hands-on projects with Arduino and control systems. What advice would you give someone entering this field, especially on skills, certifications, or entry roles to focus on? I am just scared of changing careers, but automation is something that I really want to do. #Mechatronics #Automation #Robotics #CareerAdvice

I’m a full-stack AI engineer with 8 years of hands-on experience, primarily in healthcare and also real estate, fintech, and education. A couple quick demos from my recent work: • LiveKit + AI Avatar Agent + Knowledge Base https://www.loom.com/share/66537f61a34043ebb3724751b4503696 No tech skills needed — I handle all the building. Tech background = bonus, not required. Looking for a trustworthy, communicative co-founder in the US who’s pumped to ship products and make money together. Let’s talk!

4.0 Boeing uses digital twins. Airbus employs AR for efficiency. Lockheed Martin and GE Aviation use 3D printing for F-35 parts and LEAP nozzles. Siemens’ smart factories use cobots and IoT. Rolls-Royce and Delta use predictive maintenance via IoT. Airbus’ ZEROe and Safran’s hybrid systems target decarbonization. Boeing and Northrop Grumman enhance supply chains with SAP and blockchain. NASA and Honeywell apply ML for design and safety. Airbus and Lockheed train workers in robotics and AI.

Would appreciate candid perspectives from people familiar with Kearney D&A or Amazon Robotics. Evaluating two ~$300K TC opportunities: Kearney Manager (Supply Chain Design & Optimization) vs Amazon Robotics Sr. New Product Lead (autonomous last-mile robotics). Background in network optimization, OR/analytics, warehousing/capacity planning, plus prior MBB experience. Mainly trying to understand leadership quality, culture, sustainability, growth trajectory, and day-to-day reality. Feel free to DM

Got laid off but knew it was coming. Was working for this company for years, even during college. Last thing I was told to do was to train an Ai bot by feeding it my graphics and some new ones I created for upcoming campaigns. After it was able to automate the process, they let me go. I have been applying for a couple weeks now and have had a couple interviews but nothing came from them. Starting to feel discourage and considering changing careers. Any recommendations? or advice? TIA

So I’ve been working on this thing I call Nyrixn. It’s kinda my own take on what AI could be if it actually felt more human, not just another voice assistant reading off facts. I don’t code, not do I have any type of tech degree....I’m more on the idea and design side of it all. Just trying to figure out where someone like me fits in the AI space without pretending to be something I’m not. I’ve got the drive, just need to find the door. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Love it ir hate it, artificial intelligence (AI) is here. I have been searching & applying for new jobs on my own without success. I decided to use an AI job finder tool. I provided details - location, salary, duties, & my resume. It customized my resume and cover letter. Within 3 hours, the bot sent 24 applications to companies I never knew about. I hope the AI helps with my search, but should I have any reservations with the process? Or should I have more trust?
