This industry is a scam. I don't know why anyone would work here instead of tech. McKinsey reported 2% growth rate in 2024, literally lost to inflation (3-4%). This is a fatal structural blow to the business model + total failure to capitalize on AI growth. BCG/Bain not even in the picture. In the onboarding class of my MBB earlier this year, not ONE had a background or education in tech. Garbage in, garbage out. This dying scam industry needs to shut down and just return the money to sharehold

4.0 Boeing uses digital twins. Airbus employs AR for efficiency. Lockheed Martin and GE Aviation use 3D printing for F-35 parts and LEAP nozzles. Siemens’ smart factories use cobots and IoT. Rolls-Royce and Delta use predictive maintenance via IoT. Airbus’ ZEROe and Safran’s hybrid systems target decarbonization. Boeing and Northrop Grumman enhance supply chains with SAP and blockchain. NASA and Honeywell apply ML for design and safety. Airbus and Lockheed train workers in robotics and AI.

      Job Hunting in Tech

I need advice. I'm honestly pretty smart, and looking for aggressive career advancement. Here's the problem....I have a *lot* of experience (think >20yrs) in chip design. I have the most fun working on tough problems. My current job is kind of a 9-5'er in a very low cost area. I make the equiv (seriously) of about $400K/yr in Silicon Valley (i.e. my lower salary is equiv to...). I did this originally intentionally. Right now I no longer get raises/promotions because I'm topping out.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with working as a Computer Hardware Engineer at General Atomics (Poway,CA) and if anyone can share any insight on what the day to day and work-life balance looks like for this company and this position. I am currently being considered and wanted to learn more before making a decision. It sounds to me like it is about providing system admin and engineering to GCSs. Any insight on the culture and leadership will also be appreciated. Thank you!

      Manager

How do I work through a micro manager? It’s gotten to the point now where I lose sleep because of the nitpick, not listening, not actually reading the materials which leads to awkward comment responses “it’s there,” delays in review time, etc. Manager gets annoyed when I don’t include him on things or when folks reach out to me directly. Losing it. I’ve done the over sharing, timelines, pushed back, and nothing has worked. Only thing left is escalating but scared in this environment

I have been reading about how technology is reshaping patient care in healthcare? Innovations like telemedicine and AI are making it easier to connect with doctors from home, avoiding long waits! But with these advancements come challenges, like maintaining patient privacy and addressing the digital divide. Not everyone has equal access to technology, creating disparities in care. What do you think about balancing new tech with personalized patient interactions?

AI is redefining hardware design faster than ever. From EDA automation to AI-driven verification, the semiconductor space is entering a new era. As someone working in ASIC design and verification, I’m curious — do you think AI will eventually design and verify chips end-to-end, or will human expertise always be essential? Would love to hear opinions from both software and hardware folks — where do you see the future of chip design heading?

As a recent CS graduate and freelance AI Engineer, I specialize in building intelligent systems using Python, LLMs, and automation tools. My core skills include prompt engineering, LangChain, OpenAI, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and AI workflow automation using n8n & Make.com. I’ve also worked with REST APIs, Git, and ML frameworks like TensorFlow. Excited to apply these in real-world, impactful projects!

Hi Tech Fellows!! I want to ask that I am from non-tech background and currently pursuing MS Data Science, but now my interest got developed in Cloud computing due to good reviews on Internet. Can anyone please explain in detail that switch towards cloud is a good approach for a non-tech bg person as I have also no coding experience. And what woould be the demand in the coming future and will it get impacted by the AI?

I have a great deal to offer an embedded systems/firmware programmer position having well over 20 years experience starting from Hewlett Packard's Network Printers to most recently Lockheed Martin's and Teledyne/FLIR's UADs. I'm very competent in C/C++, Core Java, and Bash scripting. I also have experience with ARM-based microcontrollers like the STM32 series and microprocessors like i.MX, and RockChip (RK3566).
