Google has removed over 50 diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)-focused organizations from its funding list, part of a broader cut of 214 groups, following pressure from POTUS-era anti-DEI policies. Many of the removed groups focused on race, gender equity, activism, and support for marginalized communities. What’s going to happen when a new administration comes into play? https://www.linkedin.com/posts/black-enterprise_google-has-removed-over-50-diversity-equity-activity-7359569284177555456--OE_?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios&rcm=ACoAAACGcC8BqyLOVLFp546iecRiWinznOkvt_0 Amazon Google Microsoft Newco

I’ve been at a firm for 6 months. The group I work w/ is huge. I report directly to a Sr FA. I’m very good at strategy - I have Asperger’s . I see patterns, #’s etc. What I struggle w/ is emotional intelligence, I don’t understand sarcasm, etc. I notice that the FA, takes all the credit for my work. I come up w/ ideas but don’t know how to articulate that to the group so this jerk runs w/ it. He presents it like, I had Mark do this, etc. How do I approach this?

How bad is Goodwin really? I am considering joining a group that left my firm and joined Goodwin. The practice is an entirely new one to Goodwin and I would be the most senior associate in the group, so I suspect to be insulated from some of their issues (corporate / ecvc associate layoffs, etc.). I am curious to get an insiders perspective on the Firm generally (e.g., firm perks, bonuses, etc.), so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Currently a summer in the corp group at a V10 - planning on choosing m&a purely for exit opps, is this a mistake? Other summers keep discussing what groups they’re gravitating towards based on what they find “interesting”, but this seems kind of short sighted to me? Am i missing something? Cap markets seems interesting to me too but I’m not sure how much experience it takes to go in house in that group

How do I know when my group is toxic/when is it time to lateral? I am so burnt out after multiple 2400 years and don’t feel like my group cares at all they’re constantly expecting more from me. Making below market and have the opportunity to make market. At one point I was told I could make partner by my group head but I’m not so sure I want it if this is the cost. I wake up every day hating my job. 4th year.

Thoughts on Debevoise/Cleary’s Corporate M&A? Please share only verified and accurate information. Would be coming there as a rising 3rd year. Looking for an established, prosperous, longstanding practice group that is relatively insulated from macroeconomic cycles and likely to remain as strong—or stronger—over the next 30 to 40 years. Thanks all!

I'm working on my resume. I heard that if I use Al like ChatGPT, it helps to get my resume in front of hiring managers. I've also heard that Al will flag that I used Al, so then it looks like I'm not being authentic. I have had mixed results. It’s definitely improved my resume but I haven’t gotten any responses either. Which is it? What's your take on using Al for resumes?

If a small specialized lit group gets poached by another firm, is it bad to join their group at the already-established firm they went to? They are building it out at the established firm and looking for associates at other firms for now, but not sure if folks have experience with that. Seems like a good way to pivot into a specialty, but worry about the risk too.

Thoughts on Debevoise PE group? Clients, folks, culture? Want to work my ass off at a great institution to later make partner (I know it’s almost impossible there, so ideally lateraling as a partner at a v20). They’ve introduced a NEP track so possible, but have no idea what it looks like (first promotion yet to be announced).

Trying to piece together what I’ve seen on different posts. Can anyone in/familiar with NACR confirm the comp below: Analyst 110-200 (expect ~140) Associate 200-300 (expect 250) Senior Associate - 300-very high (400 is reasonable) Any info would be so appreciated! Also have heard it’s 2 years at both Analyst and Associate
