      RN Charge Nurse
      11mo

We had a patient’s family member secretly record one of our nurses during care and then threaten to post it because they didn’t like her tone. She wasn’t unprofessional (just firm about boundaries) but now she’s terrified it’ll end up online twisted out of context. Leadership said they’d “look into it,” but weeks later, nothing. Phones are always out, and it feels like we’re one viral clip away from a witch hunt. What’s the best way to protect ourselves when anyone can film us at any time? Would you push for stricter policies?

      Job Hunting in Tech

Hello, first post on glass door. I am a cybersecurity Student at Ivy Tech Indianapolis Downtown, and a work study for my campus's IT Department. I have my A+ and will be taking my Network+ in about a couple months. Sense I am close to graduation and not many IT support roles are not willing to hire me due to my college schedule, I am working on trying to build myself up to being a more desirable applicant. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to make finding the first job easier?

      Full Stack Developer

I have been looking for a .net/c# developer role for 1 month. In my previous role, I worked mostly on bug fixes. I started learning the Azure side of things and wanted to get into a development role. Every role I see online is asking for a lot, and on top of that me needing a sponsorship is making it even tougher for me. The thing is, I don't get any response, though I update my CV for every role I apply. Can anyone who is getting calls suggest to me any tips to create a CV to stand out? thanks

I'm a recent graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Cybersecurity and I'm highly motivated to launch my career in the field. I'm currently searching for my first entry-level Security Analyst or Junior Penetration Tester role. During my degree, I developed a strong foundational understanding of network defence, forensics, and vulnerability analysis. My favorite part of my studies was hands-on work with tools like Wireshark, Nmap, and a deep dive into Python scripting for security tasks. @everyone

Hi! I’m a Cybersecurity student at Stevens Institute of Technology trying to pivot from the retail industry into security. At my current e-commerce role, I’ve already: • Identified a client-side auth bypass & exposed API key from a third party vendor's demo application. • Led remediation to secure inventory systems. • Built automation tools that boosted efficiency by 52%. • Optimized SEO and website performance metrics • And much more Any leads or advice on breaking into cybersecurity? Thanks!

      Network Engineer
      8mo

Hi, I am constantly looking for a networking or maybe security related job, though I’m getting multiple interviews after the second or third round of interview, I see I’m getting rejected with unreal reasons. And I do see that my background check is very bad and in this condition, is there any possible way to get back into an IT industry working back into the networking or security? Firewall related job? I have a very good foundation in CCNA and I’m training students on CCNA for 5 years now.

The IT is full of people who have no idea how people do the tech. Except of some companies, I am frustrated that 8 out of 10 people who interviewed me had no idea about what cybersecurity is, what we actually do, what does the job require and how to do the interviews. As a cybersecurity engineer, I genuinely believe that some companies deserve to get hacked because of having those people without any idea about the job itself and taking decisions, affecting career and life of others.

      Job Hunting in Tech

      Remote Technical Support
      2mo

Hi everyone, I relocated to the UK from Asia with 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator, specialising in web hosting and application support on Linux. I've been applying for Cyber Security and Technical Support roles but keep getting rejected with no feedback, making it hard to improve. I'm now considering switching to .NET development. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
