How do you all keep track of numbers or when people start introducing their methodology without visuals? I start tuning out as soon as I hear multiple numbers at once. The best way for me to pay attention and continue following along is to write things down, but people talk too fast. Delayed audio processing doesn't help either. I've struggled with this during case interviews and IRL, so I'm starting to wonder if I'm even capable of consulting or anything to do with numbers. :/

4.0 Boeing uses digital twins. Airbus employs AR for efficiency. Lockheed Martin and GE Aviation use 3D printing for F-35 parts and LEAP nozzles. Siemens’ smart factories use cobots and IoT. Rolls-Royce and Delta use predictive maintenance via IoT. Airbus’ ZEROe and Safran’s hybrid systems target decarbonization. Boeing and Northrop Grumman enhance supply chains with SAP and blockchain. NASA and Honeywell apply ML for design and safety. Airbus and Lockheed train workers in robotics and AI.

Working in erstwhile Dunn Solutions which has now merged with Kaar technologies Inc has been an incredibly enlightening experience. From starting as a simple PowerBI data analyst, I have had the opportunity to work on multiple technology stacks such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, FiveTran and more. I have also worked in AI as well, since the nature of consulting enables us to be hands on with all the latest technologies. Look forward to many more learning experiences.

I have been reading about how technology is reshaping patient care in healthcare? Innovations like telemedicine and AI are making it easier to connect with doctors from home, avoiding long waits! But with these advancements come challenges, like maintaining patient privacy and addressing the digital divide. Not everyone has equal access to technology, creating disparities in care. What do you think about balancing new tech with personalized patient interactions?

For those who have a number that once they hit that number they are retiring, what’s the number (in today’s dollars)? I’m a couple years into my career and feel like having a number to work towards (even though I know it’ll change) will be more motivating for me than just throwing money into retirement accounts. For now, I’m setting my number at $4m, but would love to hear what others goals are.

When updating my resume, I realized how difficult it is to quantify impact when your daily work is collaborative and incremental. Turning team progress into individual metrics feels like an art form and I don’t want to misrepresent. So many numbers are a team effort and not directly a result of my specific work only. How do you translate your work into numbers that resonate?

So I am considering getting a certificate to be a Computer Desktop Support Technician and get an Occupational Skills Award in CompTIA A+ and Network+. Before I pursue these 2 things, I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what they do as their everyday tasks? Also, why is the CompTIA A+ and Network+ stuff in technology so important? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I do understand that OTE is usually an estimate based on a bunch of factors. More often than not though I’ve seen where the number on paper doesn’t meet the number seen in our bank accounts. For me it’s always been confusion about how much I should make when I work X amount. What is something you wish companies could do to make OTE more realistic?
