Hi everyone. I’m an Adweek reporter working on a story about workplace culture and how employees are feeling ahead of the IPG–Omnicom merger expected to close this fall. I’d love to hear from people currently at IPG or Omnicom agencies. Conversations can be totally anonymous/on background unless you’d like otherwise. If you’re open to sharing, please DM me here or reach out on Signal at audreygkemp.75. Your perspective would be really valuable. Thank you.

Have an exit opp to large pharma; catch is that they're my current client. How bad of a look would it be to go? 15 YOE, 3 in current role Current: - 200k base + 10% bonus - love my small team - get to lead a portfolio of interesting projects - I'm the most senior/highest performer under my boss - consulting arm of a non-consulting business. Upper leadership has stifled our growth Opp: - closer to 300k + 20% - I like the team - work is less interesting but could be a springboard

What are exit opps like for FDD senior managers? I'm currently an M3 and likely to be promoted by EOY. I've just completed interviews for a manager role that went really well. I think the best they could do is match my current comp. So my hesitation would be foregoing a ~$50k comp increase upon SM promotion if I were to take this role. My concern with staying until SM is that FP&A director roles might not hire out of public, making it hard to switch without taking a step down. Thoughts?

I’ve had quite a few exit opportunities come my way that were truly fantastic opps across the board - pay, exposure, level, culture, etc. I’ve been able to make it deep into a few processes, but have fumbled with the main feedback being too verbose/wordy in my answers. I’d love if anyone has any exercises or approaches to get a bit more dialed in. I’m pretty anxious when I take these interviews fwiw and this is not feedback I see in my day job. Frustrating & disheartening.

I’m a SM at B4 and might have an opp for a IC customer sucesss Lead role at a SaaS company. Potentially could be a drop in pay about 50k but this could be made up by commissions. I’ll be more focused on implementation and onboarding customers on to the platform and helping with presales. I think this might be a drop in title but I’ll get to be more hands on with AI tools and other platforms vs being more of a sales and PM guy in my current role. What are other folks thoughts

Consultant whose first and only job has been at the same company. Curious as to anyone who has tips for me as I aim to leverage my prof network (mostly internal, some key client relationships at a few firms I’d really consider too) for new opps. Even tactical things like how to approach my interest in new opps when a lot of my internal network I still work closely with today, and might feel it’s not in their best interest to help (not saying they aren’t going to).
