In the last year Ocean Job Lot has basically screwed its ATLs. We went from salary to hourly with no bonus. We were allowed 45 hours. But vacations and sick days we lost money since we could only get 8 hours instead of the 9. Then one week before Christmas, we were informed, despite record sales, that we are being cut to 40 and dont dare go 40.1 hours. For most of us that is almost $200+ a week we are losing. And the company just got an award for best company to work for. Total BS!

Any thoughts on the finance/accounting market in Seattle, WA? I co-created and ran a chain store business abroad serving as CFO/Finance Manager and recently moved back home to the Seattle area. Never thought it would be this hard finding a job. Got to the fourth round with one of the largest employers in Seattle twice but just couldn't close the deal. I’ve been working in the fincrime domain for ~2 years, starting at NatWest and later joining Revolut’s FIU after a 1.8-year stint at RBI, driven by an 80% hike and WFH. While the exposure and pay are good, the role is mentally demanding with long hours. Currently on probation and recently moved to a business vertical, I’m exploring a shift to entry-level finance roles. I’m CFA L1 qualified with a B.Com (Hons). Any ideas or suggestions?
