Pausing doesn’t mean quitting. It means choosing presence over performance. It means letting one task go undone so you can sit in a moment that actually fills you watching your kids laugh, sipping something warm in silence, breathing without rushing to the next thing. I willingly took time off even though we are in the midst of transition in the office but I needed the pause .. am I internally stressing about what can and will go wrong .. Yes However I am welcoming a pause to gather ME.

worked from 6:45 pm to 7am and sometimes later depending on when my release came in and given reports. I had a very great experience working ; but my drive home was 1 hour and 20min. My job is saving lives and not taking lives and falling asleep on my way home from work was starting to become a problem. So yes I quit; I could have given a 2week notice but really . I’m not going back so no need. Here in NC it is hired at will. They can fire without reason or cause and without notice also.

I really want to quit my job. I didn't get a raise this year and my boss gave me some bs passive-aggressive reason. I am debating just working fewer hours or just retiring altogether (I'm 60 and have net worth >$1M and can replace my salary easily). The thing that sucks is med insurance cost prior to 65 and I don't know if I'll like drawing down my savings. But the job market is a real zoo and I'm pretty disgusted with it and my manager. Another option is I could just take a year off.

I really want to quit, as I feel I am losing myself and I am so drained that even the thought of starting a new project stresses the shit out of me like never before. I take that as a sign that it’s time to exit. I am also aware that waiting 3-4 months before doing that would bring just enough money to reach most of my financial goals. Has anyone experienced the same and managed to successfully navigate the last 3-4 months without being staffed and then left? What are the tips and tricks?

A day in the life of a non-political advertising professional in Chicago: On my way to work, I stop at my usual coffee shop. The line is taking forever. Something about being short-staffed because most of the people who work in the kitchen are afraid to come to work? I don’t know. I’m not political, just inconvenienced. After I get off the train stop near my office, I step over a guy sleeping on the platform. He should just take a shower and get a job. What’s stopping him?

I work in a software development research centre. At my workplace, if one person is going for leave, the other person is supposed to stay. Not everyone can go on leave at the same time. I applied for leave a week ago but was ignored left and right. Tried following up, but still got ignored. My colleague applied for leave a week ago and he got an approval the same day. A lot more has been happening over the years and I want to quit. I have a small gig but not seasonal. Should I quit?

      Delivery Driver
      11mo

I’ve been working as a delivery driver for Amazon, and it’s honestly one of the most exhausting jobs I’ve done. We are regularly assigned 150+ stops per shift, often with no proper breaks, and expected to keep pushing through with little regard for our health or wellbeing. There is zero meaningful support from the app when issues come up — it either doesn’t work or takes forever to get any kind of response. If you get stuck, you’re pretty much on your own..

Could my boss be trying to make me quit? Of course it could be my imagination and I’m being too sensitive but it seems like he’s harder on me than the other woman who works with us. I’ve worked here for around 10 years, most days I feel just plain dumb because I can’t seem to do anything right. If I do it one way, he says it should have been the other, but tomorrow it could be the opposite way. In all honesty, I’d love to quit but I just can’t afford it. I’m stuck
