Hi all, I'm an Oracle DBA with 5 years of experience. I have 3 more years until I get a pension and then I want out of DBA work. I've been researching GRC analyast / IT auditor type roles and am interested in pursing this as the next step in my career. I want to use these 3 years to develop myself to be qualified for these type of roles so I can transition. I plan to study for and get the CISA certification, but aside from that what else can I do to improve my competitiveness for these jobs?

I am interested in trying to get into IBM or Oracle. I'm interested in those companies because I am interested in how these large companies that is restrictive of promotions and good compensations stay innovative. They value share holders more than the employees who create the value. Its gotta be a complete circus inside those corporations, anyone have any sights on IBM and Oracle.
