Anybody else see all the lame LinkedIn “Look at me, I’m in Cannes!l” posts thinking that it feels a lot like the orchestra continuing to play on the deck of the Titanic as it slowly sank? The ad industry, especially the HoCo world is in turmoil with massive layoffs, unprecedented job uncertainty and a very questionable future, yet all these “executives” jet off the France to drink wine, party, take turns watching each other sit on lame panels and pass out meaningless awards. Pretty fascinating.

Talking with my wife about different concert experiences recently resulted in me having an epiphany. I've been working with data in education for the past few years, but I think I want to shift my focus into music data analytics to help artists determine which cities, venues, and playlists would get the best turnout and response from a touring artists crowd. I'm not sure what kind of role would be best to look into for this. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Curious if anyone has current feedback on the overall culture at National Instruments (now a division of Emerson) in Austin, TX? Understood a number of changes occurring, as is the case with most large companies, but primarily looking for information on values (i.e. is family a priority?) and how employees treat one another (professional environment vs..not). Thanks for any insights as I explore options.

I may have a really great background in Music. Especially when I work at The Community Schools of Toronto, which is located in Brampton, where I help the teacher teach the kids new songs, teaching the kids the choreography for the song "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King is fun as well. I do stories too, but I've never done a Podcast before. Maybe someone can teach me how to do it.

Could I get some advice on how to get the room to listen to you when you're in a group meeting? I feel like I'm constantly being ignored or talked over, and it makes me think I need to work on my perceived authority. I also wonder if it has anything to do with me being newer in this role and to the company.

Do you ever get a say in what music is played in the store? In today's all-hands meeting, one of the employees suggested that once every week, an employee gets to choose and set the vibe of the day. I love the idea! I don't think our manager was completely okay with it, but it looks like she's considering.

How Payment Orchestration Powers Frictionless Travel Experiences by IXOPAY When travelers book a flight, reserve a hotel, or hop on a rideshare, they expect the process to be instant and effortless. In reality, what feels seamless to the traveler often requires complex orchestration behind the scenes.

Work playlists. We all know music makes work easier. It can enhance the mood and help the day go by. That said, is there music played or are you allowed to play music at work? If so, what’s your go to style or playlist to make the day fly by?

I have had the pleasure to experience what is mixing in corporate events, studio recordings, churches, broadcast TV & online as well as working in designing and execution for stage, lighting and live video. I’m always looking to expand and growth.
