      Human Resources

I will admit, ChatGPT has been a lifesaver for me. I've been in HR for 4 years and recently started a new role working in a different industry and states, so I'm learning so much about compliance as it uniquely applies to this company. I asked it to explain PFL & DBL in NY, and it broke things down into details that I actually understand. So much of HR is learning on the spot. I don't see it as cheating on research, but a huge help. I'd rather use AI to hold my hand than my manager. (cont.)

I was last job seeking around 2015-2016. It was alot of work and very manual. This time, with AI (ChatGPT], it’s much easier, but the rejection level is the same. I use CGPT for everything except tracking applications. I use Teal for that. I vet job descriptions (JDs) with CGTP, I have it draft my resumes and cover letters. I of course review and edit them myself, but it makes the application process so much easier as well as helping to fill out forms. What do you use AI for in this process?

Just out of curiosity, what type of AI tools or training have some of you finance professionals done or heard of that you have found useful to optimize any of your reporting or monthly/quarterly workflow tasks. I work in defense, so obviously we have special sensitivity regarding 3rd party tools...so open-sourced things like chatgpt are a no-go. Just kinda curious if there are any good courses or tools anyone found helpful to understand how AI can help us...

Recently laid off from a dual PM/Salesforce role in federal IT. I’ve been building out demos to show how I approach UX, ops, and automation with AI tools. Attached is a snapshot of 4 projects I shipped using Webflow, GPT, and service design. Open to feedback or connections, I'm exploring hybrid roles in product, design, or CS enablement. 🔗 Demos: github.com/sethfannin/portfolio 🔗 LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/seth-fannin

How do I break into HR Tech? I have a 3-year HR diploma and 6+ years in HR. I already work heavily with data — pulling payroll/time data, cleaning it, and building reports for KPIs, performance, merit, and bonus analysis. I want HRIS implementation experience, but my companies keep delaying systems. Any advice on certifications or paths to move into HRIS/People Analytics or eventually work for an HR tech vendor? Thanks!

I work for a global investment manager, and we're looking at new legal technology. Specifically, contract depository with AI component (clause library/draft assist/possible to run bespoke reports on 1000s contracts - that kind of thing). Has anyone at had success? Any tips? Any companies you'd recommend (luminance, icertis, ironclad, ect)... I'd be really grateful for insight! Especially from those in similar field.

Is the industry in PDX just nonexistent aside from Nike? I've been looking for a job in Portland for over a year now as I'd like to make a move out there and I feel like there's no jobs ever on LinkedIn and what does pop up is such an unlivable salary or short contract stints. Is there anywhere else aside from Linkedin I should be checking? I followed every design/advertising agency I could find too.
