I work at a medium sized agency and want to know if this is standard nowadays or if I should try to move. Since I started a few years ago, the pace we deliver at has gotten so fast. We work on multiple clients, each with a weekly presentation, sometimes we present the same week as kick-off. These are 15-30 slide decks, every week, each client. A rebrand in 4-6 weeks, a homepage in 2. It feels like theater, with no time to research, learn a brand, or brainstorm. Is it like this everywhere?

I’ve been reviewing a number of Shopify dropshipping stores lately and noticed a common pattern — many stores are getting traffic but not converting into real sales. I focus on identifying hidden issues that affect trust, product positioning, and the buying decision process. If you run a Shopify dropshipping store and results haven’t matched your effort, I’d be glad to exchange ideas and look at what might be limiting performance. This isn’t a promotion — just looking to connect with people

Currently a Shipping Manager at BRE, where I oversee logistics, orders, and quality control. This role has strengthened my leadership, organization, and communication skills. While operations gave me structure, I’m eager to transition into commission-based sales. I thrive on building relationships, solving problems, and being rewarded for results. Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, I’m motivated, adaptable, and ready to hustle in a performance-driven sales environment.

Performance reviews coming up. I’ve been told I’m underpaid. But also, many things about the firm I’m at have been less than stellar. Nothing but poor quality “hot potato” type cases being fed to me, lack of advancement despite solid performance, etc. I want to impart that I’m very unhappy with many things, but don’t want to seem like a flight risk to where they’d just start looking for a replacement. I also feel like if I’m not stern, I’ll get steamrolled. Any advice?

Sales is easy? We recently had a delivery driver decide he wanted to be in sales because we “have it made”. They gave him the opportunity and he made the switch. Stayed for 14 months and said this is nuts, I’ve aged 5 years in 1 and asked to be put back in a truck. The company obliged which was nice. He’s a great guy and now an asset that can tell the delivery guys to maybe chill with that talk. It may not be much physically but a job in sales is demanding! Any similar stories?

Do you go hard on upselling? I’ve worked in places where we were expected to upsell like car salesmen and others where the philosophy was “keep it chill and let the food speak for itself.” Personally, I hate being pushy, but I get that upselling drives revenue and keeps managers happy. Still, I feel gross suggesting dessert to a table that clearly just wants the check.

I’m interviewing for a new job and the process has been slow. I emailed the hiring manager to check in at 3:30 pm and received a response at 7:30 pm. How would you interpret this? “Good to hear from you! We are still working through the process, and you should hear from us soon. Took a bit longer than expected - appreciate the patience.”

I spent 3 days cleaning up our login code, making it way easier to work with, and added proper tests. Now my PM is asking why I bothered since it wasn't broken, and my TL said it wasn't necessary work. How do you convince management that fixing messy code matters when all they care about is shipping features?

My boss keeps asking why things take so long and telling me to just ship it. I try to explain we need time to do it right, but he doesn't get it. He thinks I'm being slow on purpose, but I know cutting corners always comes back to haunt us. What do y'all usually do in this type of situation?
