CLIENT RETENTION Retaining a client is skill on its own which most businesses overlook. Anyone can get a new client, it is an exciting feeling. But how about keeping them ; that's where the real business act comes into play. Acquiring a new customer cost more than keeping an existing one which has made businesses to invest less on old relationship. Your existing clients are the most valuable asset. Building a solid relationship with them can be the spark your business needs to grow.

      Job Hunting in Tech

I have been unemployed since November, and after years working in tech, hearing how people are being treated in this market is exhausting. Being told to relax because it’s the holidays does not help when I am heading into a new year without work. The pressure, uncertainty, and silence from employers take a real mental toll. How do experienced tech professionals stay resilient when the system feels stacked against them?

I had to fight with management for a whole 3 months to sanction something small that my team had asked for - 1 free snack from the break room a day. Starting at the beginning of this year, this new system was passed, and I thought it would make everyone happy, but now there are just more and more demands. The bar magically moves and suddenly there are new “small” requests. How do you do the 'keep people happy and set boundaries so perks don’t spiral' thing?

What habits, routines, or rules help you maintain a healthy balance while working from home? Do you have a dedicated workspace? Set firm boundaries on work hours? Avoid personal tasks during the day? I’ve been struggling with boundaries lately. Some days, I blend personal and work activities throughout the day, and instead of creating flexibility, it can make me feel like I’m always working. The lines between work time and personal time start to blur.

I’m convinced that longevity in this field is only humanely viable if I completely divorce any feelings from this job. I get so irritated but I also see that there’s really no other meaningful option to make a ton of money while sitting at home on a computer. Just need to figure out how to tune out all the noise and work while collecting. Any advice on how to practically achieve this goal?

As we all know, healthcare just keeps getting more and more consolidated. I live in a rural area, and our local hospital, which has always been part of a bigger group, has recently centralized everything it does. This has contributed to the deterioration of care. Do you guys have any experience with this at your facilities? If so, what are your thoughts, and what can we do to reverse this trend?

Management is offering stay-put bonuses to keep our team together since everyone's quitting, but the office vibe is pretty toxic right now. I’m trying to weigh the extra cash against just finding a fresh start somewhere else. Do these bonuses actually improve retention, or do they only delay the inevitable? I don’t want to be the only one left after everyone else cashes out and leaves anyway.

Are you looking for a forever home company, or just something to get by? My LinkedIn feed is currently a 50/50 split between people getting promoted and people announcing their heartbreaking departure from a company after six months. It makes me wonder if I should even be looking for a permanent position or if I should just accept that stable employment is a relic of the past.

What is your ultimate day-one reset strategy? I just got back from a four-day industry conference where I survived entirely on boxed lunches, minimal sleep, and endless networking happy hours. I feel awful and like I need a vegetable. Tonight is all about a heavy grocery run, a massive green smoothie, and an incredibly early bedtime to shock my system back into equilibrium.
