      Londoners in Consulting

Hey everyone, looking for some Fishbowl wisdom. I just had an interview with Capgemini for a Senior Manager role, right now I’m at Accenture as a Lead Product Owner (L9). They basically said they love the ambition, but I’m not quite at the Senior Manager mark for them, so they’d slot me in as a Management Consultant at about £95k. Now I’m wondering: do I take another consulting gig with a slight title shift, or hold off for something more in-house that matches exactly what I want? Capgemini

Would you take a Sr, Director role at CapGemini invent being a SM at ACN (4 years, 23 years experience total) in tier 1 city for $285k base, 60k bonus, 25k sign on? No equity and I usually get at ACN annually. Top 3 for promo to MD but practice barely does one every 2 years so not for me in <2 yrs prob. Take it or get ACN to maybe counter? It’s about a ~20% bump for me (excluding sign on). Also hate new current project at ACN so want out emotionally lol. Wwyd? Thanks!

Interesting. I hope this means we can’t leverage on our experience and learnings to advance our careers after leaving Protiviti….. Protiviti Inc. v. Davis, Shockley & SolaSec LLC - Filed on July 2, 2024 in the Northern District of Texas, Protiviti alleged that two former employees (Caleb Davis and Kyle Shockley), now with their startup SolaSec LLC, misappropriated confidential trade secrets and violated employment agreements .

Hi. I have an offer for SC role at Capgemini Invent (US). It’s an industry specific strategy consulting role vs where I’m at which is a generalist software specialist implementation consultant (SC level). Pay is $25K more. Should I consider the switch? Career growth at my current firm seems off the table, so while it’s not a title change, it is a pay bump. Feels like a better role, but curious about the health of Cap/invent.

With Stripe and Databricks ($5.4B run-rate) eyeing 2026 listings, the secondary tape is now the primary engine for price discovery. For those tracking the pre-IPO delta, SPVs are the clear winner for capital efficiency allowing for a diversified portfolio with 1/10th the requirement of a direct transfer. I have the latest data sheets on the Big Five for anyone rebalancing this quarter. DM for the tape.

Think I'm going to get offered a high paying role $200k+ with a 25% bonus. The catch: the company was just acquired. In a year the brand might cease to exist but will be part of a new, larger company. In my experience mergers result in huge layoffs and high paying roles from the company that were inherited in the acquisition are the first to go. I'm bummed.

Does anyone have experience going through an acquisition without getting absolutely hosed on your variable pay? The new management paused all accelerators while they align the comp plans, effectively capping my income during our busiest quarter. I’ve already seen three of our top producers hand in their notice because the uncertainty isn't worth the stress.

I have an offer from Proxima and Accenture (procurement practice). Which one to take? 3 YOE and Accenture providing 20% higher pay. Relatively same title. Proxima is growing quickly and work with Bain - so some positive exposure? Accenture has a larger team, more variety of projects, etc. But i've heard of their struggle to retain talent the last few years

As you look for opportunities in the Pharma industry what would you take of the 2 choices:- 1). Higher title / more ownership, pay, responsibility (e.g., Executive Director) in a global Generic Pharma OR, 2). Lower title (e.g., Director) in a big innovative Pharma like a Pfizer or BMS?
