      Consulting Exit Opportunities

      works at AlixPartners
      9mo

Currently VP (post-MBA) at AlixPartners and interested in PE ops in 3-5 years. 1) How to go about getting traction? Eg which practices should I be associated with (eg PE, TMT); which functional specializations (eg M&A, org transformation, ops)? 2) Which types of funds should I target and how to get noticed by those? I’m trending towards mega funds (eg Blackstone, KKR, Bain, Silver Lake) as I’d expect better comp, steadier demand for my work and more exciting assignments (large cap companies)

Hey there, I have a question for public education folks (especially NYC people). My kid’s school has a terrible principal who has been put on a PIP. I am part of a large contingent of parents who want to see her go. In the private sector, PiPs are hard to beat by design. Most people leave on their own or are shown the door as expected. But I don’t know how PIPs work in the land of the DOE and in cases where the person is unionized. Anyone have experience or knowledge in this area?

      Manager
      7mo

So today my line manager presented to 2 directors a project idea that I initiated, and researched. She used my slide deck (some builds of her own added) and ran the whole meeting without referencing my contribution at any point. After the meeting she shared the slide deck stating "forwarding the slides from today, I pulled together". Do you think I should say something to my manager? If so, how do I word this?

Have you ever pushed back on something you weren’t comfortable doing? My director wants me to present a deck I didn’t create but phrased it saying “would love it if you presented if you’d like to!” And I don’t feel like it should be coming from me. How would you communicate this? I feel like it’s frowned upon to push back

Propel Health Communications employees - why isn’t what’s going on internally being reflected in company reviews right now? Might be worth the transparency for others in the future. Looks like there’s only two company reviews for the Propel Health linked to propelhealthforward.com.

I’m so happy today !! Had to go to an interview today (100 mi. round trip) stopped & put $50.00 of fuel in my truck on pump*8 to make the trip, then looked at my fuel gauge & realized that $50.00 would probably only get me to pump # 9 😂 Oh well, I guess I can coast home, it’s downhill anyways 😆 Peace Out, ✌️✔️

In my props team, there’s a variety of different sections in the team. I’ve only really been doing one part and as a trainee I want to explore and try/learn other things. How do I say to my head of department that I want to do this as he always seems to busy and there never seems to be the best time?
