      Salaries in Accounting

      Senior Fund Accountant
      3mo

I received 2 offers and very conflicted. One is fully remote 150k all in fund admin fully imbedded into one client (option to go to their office) but the other is at direct fund 184k including profit sharing and bonus it’s just 3 days in office and only 15 days PTO. I’m used to having unlimited and taking as many days as I want, so this feels a bit rigid. I already worked at a direct fund after b4 so I have that on my resume. Which would you choose? I really do value flexibility. 28 yrs old

Anyone part of BCG’s Financial Institutions practice in Southeast Asia? I see that they are hiring for PL to Partner (I know it’s non-equity) for their FS practice on LinkedIn, I have a few questions and would greatly appreciate some insights. About myself: I have 3 years of consulting experience, made it to Consultant equivalent at MBB. Then another 3 years at in-house strategy teams at financial institutions at Manager leading a team, my direct report were all ex-MBB partners. Boston Consulting Group

I'm currently seeking a remote position in the financial field. At the moment, I work as a junior accountant for a pet cremation business. My daily responsibilities include invoicing through QuickBooks Online, processing credit, cash, and check payments, handling check deposits, generating monthly statements for approximately 300 clients, collecting on overdue accounts, inputting bills, and maintaining client communication, among other tasks. I’m seeking something at least 55,000 a year.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance, referrals, or recommendations that can help me land a role in this field. Mainly doing the same accounting loop and get to gain Oracle ERP experience. Which one is better for the development of my future career? the payment is a big difference

In talks with a VC for a unique opportunity to start up a fund in their nonprofit arm. Unique situation where they would only do this with me. Obviously high-risk / high-reward, but I have the resources to leave MC and support myself. Looking for advice to take to the conversation. Things like how to structure long term comp, what we should do on upside to align on incentives. Anyone have any experience moving in portfolio management (from scratch)?

Hello! I have been in private wealth management since 2009 and formally an advisor on my own book for the last 9 years. I am currently working in the Private Bank and am considering a switch somewhere that I can build and own my book of business in a team oriented environment. I’m considering an opportunity with a large RIA but wondering if anyone has insight into Morgan Stanley Private Wealth? What is it like to be a financial advisor there?

Looking for input on Fidelity vs. Bank of America for a financial advisor career path for a 25 year old with a finance degree and Series 6 credential with 2 years of remote work experience at Prudential, and now considering job offers at Fidelity (remote) and Bank of America (office based). Pros and cons of Fidelity vs. BOA / Merrill? How to best grow in the field? Whether and when to pursue work roles with an independent RIA....?

How do I balance showing my passion for pro bono with proving I’m still a profitable investment? Over the past two years, I’ve logged an incredible amount of pro bono hours representing asylum seekers, even winning a major case in federal court. I’m looking to transition to a firm that actually values public service, but I don’t want to look like someone who prioritizes free work over the firm's bottom line.
