Parents who have older kids, how did you manage to find energy post work to actually engage with your child? I switch off work between 5 to 7 PM, prep dinner over weekend, and don't pick up work till after bedtime. It's always a race to finish the last call before the kid comes home from daycare, but the challenge is I am already so drained, then dinner, play time, bath, bed time (half the time I fall asleep in his room) and then pick up work because nothing ever gets done during the day*

Hello everyone I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Engineering Konkuk University South Korea. And i am expecting to graduate in August 2026. My research focuses on waste to energy technologies, particularly hydrogen-rich syngas production from sewage sludge using microwave-assisted pyrolysis. I’m looking to connect with professionals in sustainable energy, and related fields, and would appreciate any insights on career paths and opportunities as I approach graduation. Thanks

Thinking about moving into mortgage advisory, then through to Financial Advisory later on. Currently studying AAT to CIMA but will likely put it on hold for the CeMAP. My question is, do you think this is wise? Is this something that’s going to bite me in the *ss later? My current workplace is extremely slow and demotivated. I want an environment that has clear drive and is client facing, even if it is more demanding. With AI emerging, it makes me wonder if it’s a valid change for later on.

Having worked as a hardware engineer among many teams within 5 companies, I have found a jewel of an eco system within this company, Sentient Energy. The people here, from management down, are focused on the customers, family and our personal health. Getting up in the morning is easy when you really enjoy what you are doing, and who your comrades are. Quality products and innovative solutions best defines what we do and who we are. We're growing and I'm happy to be on this journey.

Anyone experienced on Energy Tax Credits? I currently work for a wind/solar developer doing a mixture of project support (credit modeling, PWA, audits etc) + compliance/provision and really enjoy the industry. I’m thinking about pivoting back to public and keep seeing job openings at a few firms. Wondering if anybody can give a perspective on culture, WLB, comp etc on the practices below (or others) Deloitte Gi3, PwC STS (Energy Tax Credits), CLA Renewable Tax Credit Transactions

I have been working in public accounting for over 10 years now. Over the course of my career there were many times I felt burnt out, but yet I had energy and drive to do things I'm passionate about outside of work. 2 years ago I left the big firm grind and have a lower stress job where I work less but have no energy for anything other than work. It seems to be getting worse recently. Nothing changed other than my age and I weigh a bit (5lbs) more recently. Any advice?

      Confession

      Arias Consulting

I don’t have a giant investment account and still have about 25% in cash, buying when it makes sense. Today bought Puma USA on OTC symbol PMMAF but only a few thousand dollars. Their stock took a hit since January by about 50% but have a good new CEO and I like their products. This is not a recommendation - just sharing. Still low single digits of the total so not worried.
