I had to explain to a patient that no, they cannot film a TikTok live during their procedure, and they looked at me like I was the villain. They actually claimed it was a violation of their rights to not let them stream their own medical care, completely ignoring the fact that my face, the faces of three other staff members, and surrounding medical equipment would be broadcast to thousands of people. Has anyone else had to become the social media police on their unit, or do you just let patients film whatever they want now?

I saw a local country/rap artist last week. Really fun concert. Here’s how I described it to someone. You can find him on Spotify but I think he has only two songs - and it’s being live that was such a hoot: “Pynk Beard was great last night! I was smiling the whole show. It was like a honky tonk in a church, or a church service in a juke joint, and your pastor is drinking bourbon and showing you the scar on his butt. Really fun - wasn’t expecting that!”

Colleges and universities offer multimedia programs to give their students a taste of what it's like to work in various fields, such as digital illustration, photography, video editing, etc. But using "Multimedia" as a job role and offering minimum wage is basically asking them to be your "Art Slave."

When I asked what she was recording it for, she said they needed it for medical records. I wasn't sure how to handle it without making things tense. Anyone else deal with families wanting to film procedures?
