      Confession

      Account Manager

Can you rationalize working for/under a manager or stakeholder who expressed unquestionably poor logic, on most things that may come up in conversation? I don't mean their conclusion is wrong, but rather, their reasoning for said conclusion is appallingly flawed. I've observed this on a few occasions recently with my current employer & I feel like it's only a matter of time before similarly malformed logic gets applied to an employee & their performance. Deal breaker of can this be navigable?

i'm sorry if this is a stupid question; but i had an interview with sunset studios and i was basically asked behavioral questions - when an interviewer, not just sunset but any interviewer, when they say "there's no right or wrong answers, i just want to pick your brain" should i just assume that there literally is a right or wrong answer? because i was stumped on one or two questions and all of a sudden i got a rejection 3 days later (today).

I once went into a coding interview confident I would ace it, until the question was on an algorithm I had not reviewed in months. My brain froze halfway through the whiteboard session. It was humbling, but it reminded me that even experienced developers need consistent practice. Interviews test not just skill, but composure. What is one coding question that completely caught you off guard?

This groundbreaking work from Unreasonableness of Faith reveals how our brains are wired to protect beliefs rather than seek truth. Neuroscientists have discovered that when core convictions are challenged, the brain responds as if under physical attack - triggering defense mechanisms that override rational thought. https://unreasonablenessoffaith.com/

Is talking through your code still the gold standard, or has that changed? I was told I was too communicative during my technical interview because I explained my thought process as I coded. The feedback said it distracted the interviewers from the code itself, despite every interview prep guide telling me to talk through my logic. You literally cannot win.

Its important to grasp as much information on what your company do whether youre working for a civils company or electricals company. The earliest role as a QS is important to understand the BOQ and also know your labour costs on a monthly period to assess against how much value of works has been completed. This allows you to see monthly movements.

I find it sad that people will ask questions on a job site that allows a Q & A Section, "Do they test for THC?", "Do they test for all drugs?", etc. only to find the next question had the same type of drug testing question and also an answer given either that same day or earlier than their question. It is called READING and COMPREHENSION.

I stumbled over R1 MBB case in the math portion. Had to redo my numbers a few times times, but I feel confident on the rest and even my process to calculate the math. Something about long multiplication during that caused my brain to not work. Assuming I did well on the rest of the interview, how much of a deal breaker is that?
