Happy Tuesday fellow job seekers! I noticed the leaderboard mentioned passive income and equity as ways to supplement income. While I have an IRA I can access if needed, I don't have rental properties or equity. I currently make ends meet through freelance work, surveys, and testing. Do you have any passive income streams or other ways to earn while you're job searching? I'd also love to hear any real estate income tips, as I'm curious to learn more about that.

      Salaries in Tech

      Software Analyst
      4mo

I've been working in software engineering for around 10 years. I live in Spain, and here most salaries are around 30k, even for offerings that require a whole IT department worth of experience. I finally found this platform instead of using local ones, and first thing I see is job offers close to 6 figures for stuff I've been doing for ~3 years now. I would like to know if these are real, and if there's anything I should be aware of when approaching these companies. Thanks in advance.

      Job Seeker Support

(1/2) I am by profession a commercial real estate valuation consultant. I've worked for appraisal firms and accounting/consulting firms, etc. It hasn't been easy but I've made decent enough money and I know there's potential for more. I took my previous job after looking for 12 months, taking a 15-20% pay cut (really more because there were no benefits). It was a shitty experience complete with verbal abuse from my boss. Before that I was making a 6 figure income at a job I hated...

Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of talk about passive income, and I’ll admit it’s tempting. After years of understaffing, capped raises, and unpredictable schedules, the idea of money not tied to my physical presence feels almost necessary. At the same time, I’m exhausted and don’t have the energy to chase risky schemes or hustle culture promises. I’m not trying to get rich overnight. I just want stability and options. What’s actually been worth it and what’s just hype?

      Salaries In Sales

. I’m trying to decide if a $105k base salary in Denver is enough to buy a house, or if the local real estate market requires tech-executive money now. I’ve got a solid offer for a field sales role covering the Mountain region, but every time I look at home prices in the suburbs, I feel like I’m a decade too late. My OTE would put me around $160k if I hit quota. Are you able to build real equity on a mid-tier sales salary, or are you stuck renting indefinitely?

Hello everyone. I want to leave the 9-5 soon. I’m aiming to save around 40-50k to start my real estate journey. I have lots of ideas, such as Airbnb, rentals etc. I just have no direction about where to go. Would love some insight on how to properly utilize the money to create passive income. I don’t know anyone in real estate and I’m scared of losing my money, so I want to invest properly and work with someone who knows what they are doing.

Hello All, I am a 42-year-old Division Head who earns $133K. I have two children, ages 13 and 10, and a few investments in stocks and cryptocurrency. I do own a home (which is still on loan), and I would like to do something for my children and wife in the future. At the very least, I will retire and know that some income will come to me. My monthly spending is about 7600 US dollars. This includes the house loan amount. Any advice?

      Salaries in Finance

I’ve started lying on salary surveys and forms because I’m tired of the reactions. I make $145k, and anytime I say that out loud to someone outside finance, they either act weird or treat me like I’m bragging. I don’t want to downplay what I’ve earned, but I also hate the awkwardness it creates. It’s made me second-guess being open even in anonymous spaces. Do you share your real income outside of work?
