Being a professional security officer is about much more than "just standing there." We are first responders, conflict de-escalators, and the first line of defense for the public—often working through the night while the world sleeps. It’s time for the industry to recognize that the level of service, risk, and specialized training we provide deserves a paycheck that reflects our true value. We offer safety and peace of mind, and that commitment should be met with real respect and fair pay.

Hey folks. I’m a reporter at ADWEEK working on 2 deeply important Stagwell stories: Internal response to Stagwell’s reported work with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the leak of the reputation research deck (via DropSite). The agency network’s new partnership with Palantir and any concerns raised internally about employee values, privacy, or client ethics. I'd like to hear directly from staff if you have any intel. Your identity will be protected. Please DM me. Thank you!

A partner I work with frequently is moving to a new firm. Since he announced he was leaving, there is enhanced security on my computer. For example, if I plug in a USB device, I get a pop-up saying the device is blocked and I should direct any questions to the firm’s general counsel. Is this a typical precaution, or should I expect to be let go when he leaves? The same thing is happening to one other associate who also works with the partner a lot but no one else as far as I can tell.

Trying to get my foot in the door for cybersecurity. Unfortunately it has been a dead-end, most jobs require x amount of experience, I have an associates degree for criminal justice (prior military/law enforcement). I am in pursuit of my Bachelors' Homeland Security degree, I have knowledge & in cybersec, (ComptiaA+). If there is any guidance on even gaining a response to applications or even a way to gain more credentialing to help landing a job in that field please any guidance is helpful.

Hi! I’m a Cybersecurity student at Stevens Institute of Technology trying to pivot from the retail industry into security. At my current e-commerce role, I’ve already: • Identified a client-side auth bypass & exposed API key from a third party vendor's demo application. • Led remediation to secure inventory systems. • Built automation tools that boosted efficiency by 52%. • Optimized SEO and website performance metrics • And much more Any leads or advice on breaking into cybersecurity? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I've been trying to break into Cybersecurity for 9 years in India but faced repeated rejections due to my disability (Cerebral Palsy). Tired of the same cycle, I'm now seeking remote or international opportunities abroad. Open to entry/mid-level roles: Pen Testing, Security Operations, Vulnerability Assessment, Compliance, etc. If your company values skills & inclusion, or you have any referrals/leads, I'd be truly grateful. Hardworking and ready to prove myself. Thank you!

HR always has an open door "safe space" policy. We should feel empowered to share our concerns. However, often we feel we can't. What holds you back from sharing concerns with HR or your leader? Is it retaliation from leadership? Retaliation from team mates? Do you fear it may stagnate your development? For me it's the later. I feel I have a good development path and don't want to rock the boat.

Does anyone have advice on landing a remote job in Cybersecurity? I have been an analyst for 3 years and have been struggling to get a new role. I have a BS in IT Security and I will have a Masters in cybersecurity by October 2025. I have applied to 200+ places in the past 6 months. I have changed up my resume many times. If anyone knows of any openings in the cybersecurity field, please let me know.
