      Interview Tips

I did HVAC for about 12 years, I had an accident so I got out of it. I'd like to get back into it, but I have a fear of ladders. I have no problem going down in the hole or crawl spaces. I'm wondering if a company would train me. I have my certification. And most of the tools. I'd like to get back into it but being that I haven't done it in a few years, is there any company that would give me a little training to refresh my skills. Does anyone know of any companies that would do that for me. ???

4.0 Boeing uses digital twins. Airbus employs AR for efficiency. Lockheed Martin and GE Aviation use 3D printing for F-35 parts and LEAP nozzles. Siemens’ smart factories use cobots and IoT. Rolls-Royce and Delta use predictive maintenance via IoT. Airbus’ ZEROe and Safran’s hybrid systems target decarbonization. Boeing and Northrop Grumman enhance supply chains with SAP and blockchain. NASA and Honeywell apply ML for design and safety. Airbus and Lockheed train workers in robotics and AI.

Friday thoughts - 20+ years ago, tech improved human productivity and made our lives better. We designed tech around human needs. Mail, and paper became Email and MSFT Word. Humans interacted with and up skilled each other, in-person, and used tech to help. Now, humans are asked to think and behave like tech to make the machines more efficient. We train AI and robotics on skills we used to teach each other. We exist to serve the machines and get laid off when they outperform us. Smart?

Rising 3rd year lit associate aiming to retool into M&A. I know it's difficult but for now I have a coffee chat and a phone screener with recruiting set up at two firms. Currently V10, looking to lateral down. For those who have retooled, what was expected of you in terms of technical skills before starting? I know some basics of M&A practice / why I'm interested but should I spend time really delving into substantive knowledge / docs for purposes of these chats / any callbacks? Thank you.

I obviously work for an app based company so tech is around me all day, every day. It starts to wear on me after a while. Has anyone successfully bridged the gap between being a tech employee and trying to be as low tech as possible when you aren't working? Was it difficult? My spouse and I are heavily considering moving way out into the country to enjoy a slower lifestyle when we aren't at work because it seems like every activity in the city is tech based or screen based.

      Interview Tips

I built Reztune to solve the problem of resume “invisibility” and the overwhelm of interview prep. The tool instantly tailors your resume to each job and auto-generates customized interview questions based on your actual resume and every job description. If you’re applying or interviewing at scale, this can save hours and make your prep much more targeted. As a freelancer I use it myself and I noticed that my interview rate is much higher.

I'm trying to transition from the collision repair business into a field outside of automotive. I've worked in the office for 11 years & do just under 2 million in sales annually. I'm responsible for facilitating the work & collecting all of the money, not to mention everything else involved. I'm looking for opinions on what I could successfully transition into based on what skills I have without a degree and still make over 60k in the southern U.S.

Hey everyone, I built Remvx myself after getting tired of ScreenConnect and NinjaOne — either too expensive, too heavy, or too complicated. It’s a fast, lightweight Remote Access + RMM tool: quick remote desktop, device monitoring, scripting, updates, and reports — all in one simple console. Now live and testing with first users. If you’re an MSP or handle IT support, DM me if you want to try it. Honest feedback welcome 🙏 #Remvx #RMM

Rewiring The Money Stack Money is arguably the most complex mass-adopted product in existence. Everyone uses it, yet very few understand the machinery behind it. The balance shown on a bank statement, or in apps like Venmo, Revolut, or a stablecoin wallet, is not a tangible certainty but a system of checks and balances designed to ensure that value is usually — though not always — available when requested.

I’m a second year in a niche finance group, trying to retool into a more gen corp group or M&A (so I can get better exits). Does anyone have any advice for lateraling to retool? I’ve had a few interviews but it keeps coming down to not having enough M&A/corp experience. I’ve tried to move groups internally but that hasn’t worked either, and I’m open to any size firm.
