i have an interview for a staff accountant position tomorrow. great news, but i have a bit of a dilemma: i wear piercings - see image. do you think most employers still care about this kind of stuff? i wanted to leave one nostril piercing in and flip my septum so that it’s not visible because i feel like just one piercing is acceptable, right? what do you guys think? the only reason i don’t wanna take them out is because it was a pain to get them in

I've been with my girlfriend for 4 years now and she is asking about the ring. Generally I thought I would be ready by now too but I just don't feel it. I am unsure if it is because of her or because I am not ready for marriage. I need some advice from married folks (happily married). Are these actions normal? - When we first started dating she was all for a team based approach to finances, house work, and generally life. She now has this mentality that I need to be funding many things...

I was texting a man from a dating app for a week. We got on a call & as we talked about religion I could tell he’s one of these church weekly,Sunday school since kindergarten types & I was honest that I didn’t have that upbringing but we’re a religious family & I want that for my kids. He texted me the next day that he didn’t think we were a match. I didn’t rlly care tbh & asked if I could get his sister’s no. cuz he mentioned she’s in charge of a church event I want to attend (cont in comments)

I sexted a married person Thursday night and I can’t stopped thinking about it. They and I had been on and off flirting for the last 9 months but they never really made a significant move nor did they ever wear a ring, until the professional community we are both apart and attended this past Thursday… they had a ring on, I noticed but didn’t say anything. . after we both went home… that’s when the sexting came out of no where. Now I can’t stop thinking about them. What should I do. . .

Love my gf and see this relationship as long term. I’m from Congo and have lost family members I was somewhat close to growing up to diamond mining. She knows this and how I feel about mined diamonds. We recently talked about engagement rings and she says “you’re not actually serious about wanting to give me a lab mined diamond, right?” It turned into a bit of a fight. Is it crazy that this has made me rethink our long-term compatibility?

Want some validation / reassurance / advice on next steps: 31M, HCOL city, $42K in cash savings, ~$450K in retirements (401k/IRAs) - spent a big chunk of cash ($25K) on an engagement ring recently and worried I'm not in great liquid financial shape. We'll have to pay for probably half of our wedding (i'm looking at ~$20k personally). Fiancee is in good financial shape with significantly more liquid than me, but I have a higher net worth. Thoughts on tangible actions / am I in decent shape?

Not law related but thought this group of people may be able to help. I’m considering getting a “wearable” ring. I have health anxiety (I regularly convince myself I’m having a heart attack) and overall need a push to live a healthier life. Do I need an oura ring? What is the best alternative for a newbie? Any experience with whether it’ll just make my health anxiety worse? Any thoughts appreciated 🫠

What is the general opinion on facial jewelry and nose piercings? (E.g. Bull rings, eyebrow studs, lip piercings, etc.) I am working to recruit and expand my tech company's client-facing roles right now. I could be biased because I am younger, and I think clients may not be too surprised that tech employees are pierced/tatted. But my seniors/leaders are more old school with presentation and appearance. Thoughts? Opinions? How strongly should these be held against candidates in interviews?

McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company I'm interested in joining PE (PIPE/PEG/PEPI) ring fence assignments (typically 3-6 months for my office) but not sure if I'm ready? Been at my current firm (NAMR) for roughly 5 months, internal mentors (working outside the PE space) told me to wait a couple more months to build my toolkits so that I'm properly equipped / can avoid poor reviews. Was wondering if anyone else have had similar experiences?
