28 y/o. I’m moving jobs at the end of the year. I have ~140k in my 401k, and am trying to determine whether to roll it over to my new employees 401k Assuming the new plan has decent options (e.g, low cost S&P 500), should I just roll it over? Am I correct in that if I rolled it into an IRA, I would no longer be able to do a backdoor Roth conversion (been doing backdoors for a couple of years now, and have no money in traditional)? It seems that leaving the backdoor option open would be best

I am looking for suggestions and or tips. I have been in the food and beverage industry for nearly 30 years. I've been everything from a dishwasher to my current roll as a kitchen manager. I truly love cooking for people. As I reach this stage of life and career. I wonder what positions are out there that would allow me to be in more of a leadership roll, and less of a on the line, grinding out the orders. I feel as though I've put in my time as a grunt and want to see more of the business side.

I got a work iphone/new number a couple months ago and now get at least a dozen calls/texts a week asking "Darla" if I'm interested in selling my house at... I'm not that person and don't live there. The calls mostly come from different numbers and usually from another state. I looked up the property and it is nothing special, owned by a ~70 year old with that same name. Did "Darla" do something to be put on a "sucker list" or why on earth are so many different people reaching out?

I just got laid off but I don’t get officially terminated till January. I’ve been growing my 401k at that company for a year now. However, I have another 401k from a different company I worked for 5 years at and was planning on rolling it over to the company that just laid me off. Should I still roll it over, put both 401ks into an IRA, or wait till my next 401k to roll them both? I also predict I’ll probably be hopping between companies again soon…

I recently interviewed for a job where the hiring manager told me that he was interviewing almost 30 people for only one roll. After he said that I was highly discouraged and turned off from the process altogether. He then proceeded to tell me that should I make it to the next round there would be at least four other interviews, including another conversation with him. This seems highly inefficient and ineffective. What do you think?

hello! I’ve been at EY in NYC for 8 years and looking to do a rotation in Dubai for 3-6 months in 2026. does anyone have any suggestions for how to accomplish this? I’ve worked in business consulting and am now a Manager in tech consulting building EY Nexus in the US. I manage 2 software engineering teams (30 ppl) on a day to day basis. Is my skill set something that is needed in UAE at this time? Any advice helps, thank you all in advance!

Best Early Career Rotational Programs? I'm exploring rotational programs for early-career professionals. Looking for programs with genuine cross-functional exposure, strong mentorship, and good work-life balance. Has anyone done a rotational program? Which companies have the best ones? Did it deliver on promises or was it overhyped? Any programs to avoid? Would love real experiences vs. recruiting pitches. Thanks!
