Fresh out of college with a Bachelor's degree in science (Game studies and design) and it's impossible to start career growth. But that's ok, I've been working diligently on my own games. Trying to keep it small and doable, I'm not really a programmer. My aim is to become a game producer but I can't really do that off the fly. I can make music, write narrative, and do pixel art. Not a lot of starter jobs for the game industry to be honest.

Our team has a monthly game week tradition and we've been playing sketch.io for the past 6 months now. It was great at first, but everyone's getting pretty bored of it at this point. We've tried looking for alternatives but haven't found anything that really clicks yet. Do you all have any suggestions for fun online games we could try instead?

Are there any video gamers in the bowl who use gaming as a way to relax when you’re not working? If so, what games are you playing and what are you looking forward to playing this year? And you can’t say GTA VI that’s too easy lol. I’m looking forward to Crimson Desert and Planet of Lana II next month among others.

What's your position on video games? I prefer a pretty screen free life for my kids thus far (no TV during the week, iPad only on planes etc) but considering getting my 7 year old son some kind of video game for Christmas. He's been asking (though what kind is another conversation). Talk me off the ledge.

I was playing this game called “Rush Hour” with my niece yesterday. It’s a game with a fixed grid, varying sized trucks that are arranged, and a mission to get one of them out. It really felt like brute force programming and my niece has no idea she’s mastering that skill. Any similar occurrences you have come across from games?

A marketing lesson we can all relate to 😂 Using Mario as an example to teach a lesson will grab anyone's attention... But really, this is probably the future of learning. Google AI is already taking school text books and converting them into material that uses game characters, movies, sports, etc to teach the subject.

I was polishing up my resume today and thought… man, I really wish I could list my Science Olympiad glory days. Bottle rockets, bridge building, egg drop, those were truly my peak engineering achievements 😂 Anyone else here compete?
