What are the key things to know about how AI has changed life for EMs/PLs/SMs over the last two years? Context: Left MBB right before AI took off + have been doing something completely different. Now coming back at the EM/PL/SM level, and nervous that the job has changed significantly (maybe more at junior levels), due to AI. Things I'm aware of: AI-transcript/call summary, Excel assistance, deep research, knowledge base search. How about svcs like survey review / design? Anything else?

Hey everyone, looking for advice on getting into an AI role. Seems impossible with no software engineering experience or degree. Over the last year I have learned to build agents, build custom GPTs, APIs, MCP servers, familiar with IDEs, and built a useful chrome extension using only AI that is very robust and over 15k lines of code. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not master. I just have no idea where to start, how to market myself, etc. It’d clearly be more an internship type role, but I’m lost.

Hi all, hope you're enjoying your weekend, wherever you find yourselves. I am currently applying for corporate or securities paralegal roles and I have encountered a lot of AI-driven type stuff with respect to "Am I qualified" diagnostics based on my resume. How much, if any stock should I put into AI-driven analyses of my qualitfications? I have had a lot of "good match" assessments and a few "fair match" ones. Should I go ahead and apply if I get a "fair match" to the job? Thanks.

Curious if anyone felt the pressure of AI in the field? I want to stay ahead of the curve and I’m also worried about the job security of our industry. I think most of us see the seeds at our companies being planted to eventuality lean heavier into AI. I think supply chain is undervalued at most companies and would look to cut the cost their first. Has anyone looked into AI certifications or degrees? Has anyone been able to integrate AI successfully into their everyday?

Anyone else completely burnt out with AI as you feel it may be more evil than good? I’m having a real internal struggle with it and I’m literally in charge of it at the moment. It’s making me want to do an about face and do something completely different. Opening a coffeeshop is my dream but being a single homeowner in Florida that will be difficult. Just really want out of the tech world. I want to make a difference in something that won’t be taken over by AI in the future.

If you can’t research and get yourself past AI to get an interview, you’re not worth employing…. People moaning that an AI system is stopping them from getting into companies aren’t doing themselves any favours. Others manage, so why can’t you? Beat the system - use it to work out what it is that stopping you getting the interviews. Use it to create an AI suited CV that gets past the initial checks…. Come on you oldies we can do it!!

Are parts of your job already being automated? How many here are out of jobs because of AI or got jobs because of AI?

I think using AI in Job Hunting is like a eating a mushy Holiday sandwich. You have all the perks of using AI as the moist turkey, and your achievements are all the stuffing, but these multiple layers of AI use in Resumé building and ATS screening creates a mush between cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. You can still eat that sandwich but you have to get through the messy bits.

I’ve been reading about how big chains like McDonald’s, Chipotle, and Yum Brands are going all-in on AI. Everything from predicting when fryers will break down to drive-thru voice bots and scheduling tools. On paper, it sounds great. But I can’t help wondering what this means for workers in the long run. Does AI actually make our jobs easier? Would you want AI in your restaurant?

AI is valuable but it’s starting to feel like most people are just editing what the algorithm spits out. Shouldn’t we be flipping that? Making the creative first, then testing it against AI for gaps or trends? Especially in advertising, where originality still matters. AI should be the intern, not the creative director. https://www.inc.com/joe-procopio/dont-be-ais-editor/91206885
