Would you take a Sr, Director role at CapGemini invent being a SM at ACN (4 years, 23 years experience total) in tier 1 city for $285k base, 60k bonus, 25k sign on? No equity and I usually get at ACN annually. Top 3 for promo to MD but practice barely does one every 2 years so not for me in <2 yrs prob. Take it or get ACN to maybe counter? Renewables PM from private sector, recently in the federal contracting space and looking to make a leap in pay. 18 years experience, 11 years of that as environmental engineering PM and senior solar PM. Remote. New to the federal contracting arena. What’s the best way to leverage my pay to make $200k or above? I’m currently salary only with minor bonus each year. Could shift into business development space, go look at roles with large solar developers, or lean into federal. Any advice?

Looking at taking an SM role with Crowe because it’s a huge title and salary bump (going from a IC in tech to SM). I want to stay for two years or so and jump. Open to consulting and non-consulting but looking to see the exit opps as an SM after 2-3 years, specifically in the Tech Due Diligence / PE side of things. Is it possible to go into a Director level at B4 or higher paying F500 VP role? I don’t want take a worse WLB if there are no exit upsides long term.

I was all for project management but after this last job, it's time I broaden my field. I just need some recommendations on other fields I can pursue. My wife and I are both midlevel associates, work in DC and live in VA. She’s a green card holder and I’m a citizen. Any recommendations for a CPA to do our joint taxes? She has some properties overseas and there have been some wires/gifts from family overseas to her US bank account, so likely a little more complex than your average filing.

I’m contemplating getting my CMA as I’ve been in Corporate accounting for over 20 years. I have no interest in audit, tax, external reporting or accounting policy, so CPA doesn’t seem worth the work to me. I’ve seen a lot of posts that diss on the CMA, but is this coming from a Public Accounting mindset or does Industry feel the same way.

What are other SM / Directors in M&A Tax making in VHCOL cities? Just starting SM3 and got a raise to $315k base. They are telling me range is $200-360k. In actuality we all start in high 200s so the “range” is a joke. I think most of my peers are $30k+ higher than me at least. Am I being low balled?
