Has anyone left the insurance industry for a completely different industry? If so, where did you go? Any regrets? I have been in insurance for a few years and I’m starting to think maybe it’s just not for me. I’m currently in claims and I dislike it. I’ve tried to get into underwriting for a change, but I have experienced nothing but obstacles, from office politics to flat out rejection and it all has me wondering if it’s my company, or this industry I need to shift away from.

I have a great offer on the table, but HR has made it clear that the salary is maxed out. My hesitation is that the benefits package is pretty weak. Medical is fine, but dental and vision cover almost nothing. Does anyone have experience asking for better coverage in this scenario, or are group health plans typically take-it-or-leave-it?

Has anyone worked for previously bankers insurance and now bearing insurance group as a commercial CSR ? I would be fully remote. Very interested in what they have to offer and sound legit but trying to get a feel of company culture and are they truly a team and no broken promises?
