People are saying Omnicom's insurance options don't cover GLPs, even the more expensive plans. FCBHealth is AOR for Lilly GLPs, and there're more in the pipeline. I don't work on these accounts, but I think they're pretty busy/high budget? My question: Is Lilly cool with this? I'm sure OC doesn't have so many people taking Lilly drugs that revenue will dip, but doesn't it LOOK bad? Does a major client want to hear it's business partner's discouraging staff from spending money on their products?

Could use advice from people who understand health insurance: I have a family member who was recently diagnosed with cancer and is trying to select the right health insurance plan during open enrollment. They work for the federal govt so have ~30 options. My inclination is to select the plan that has the lowest total cost of premiums + out of pocket max since they will have $150k+ costs this year. Is there anything else I should consider? Their doctor / hospital is in network for all plans

recently started at senior living communities and would not recommend for anyone with a family i have never felt less appreciated by a company that prefers to spend millions on elaborate balls and conferences instead of employee health insurance. i have one child and a wife and the only plan offered is over 50 % of my salary and covers the mandatory minimum. to hear they care about our health and see the what they pay towards insurance vs what i pay is insulting

I’m a second year associate in my first year of doing insurer side insurance coverage work (zero lit). Sometimes I find the coverage work interesting, and I have great WLB, but most of the time I find it boring and unfulfilling. I’m thinking of going back into litigation. Can’t decide what I’d like better, benefits long term, exit options, etc. any ins coverage people have thoughts on what they like and don’t like about the practice?

      Salaries in Insurance

      Sr Claims Specialist
      8mo

Insurance comes in all shapes and sizes. The differing specialties require various training and/or licensing. I would think that any requirements for a position equates a certain level of compensation. Would you be willing to pursue specialty licensing if you may be offered higher compensation? What would prevent you from obtaining additional training and/or licensing?

I have come to realize that there are so many more insurance companies than I could imagine. There are large corporations and small companies with every shape and size in between. Would you rather work for a small company with perhaps less compensation or a large corporation with more compensation? Would you feel like you're making a difference with a smaller company?

      Salaries in Healthcare

      Registered Nurse
      3w

I have a great offer on the table, but HR has made it clear that the salary is maxed out. My hesitation is that the benefits package is pretty weak. Medical is fine, but dental and vision cover almost nothing. Does anyone have experience asking for better coverage in this scenario, or are group health plans typically take-it-or-leave-it?

Tying our physical survival and healthcare to a 9-to-5 isn't "benefit enrollment,” it’s a form of corporate hostage taking that prevents people from ever leaving toxic environments. Why are we still pretending that "employer sponsored” insurance is anything other than a way to keep the labor market compliant?
