I finally hit six figures… and I still feel broke. Between $2,300/month rent, groceries, student loans, and the cost of just existing, I barely feel different than when I made $70k. I always thought hitting $100k would feel like a milestone, but instead it just feels like survival with a nicer coffee habit. I’m proud of the number, but also a little disillusioned. Is six figures even meaningful anymore, or has the bar moved that much?

How many of us are making 6 figure salaries? I've been stuck in my 80K range, and applying to other jobs in the hope of making more has been a disaster. I approached my manager about wanting higher pay, and she said it wasn't possible because they're matching the standard compensation. Are none of us in marketing for over 6 years making the 100Ks? Feels kinda disheartening.

There are plenty of people who are in sales or getting into sales soon that want to hit six figures. For those of us that have been in sales for a while now, we can share the advice to this question: What’s a realistic six-figure sales role in your industry right now? I do understand that most sales roles can get to six-figures but realistic expectations help.

Have you heard of 996? It’s a 9 a.m. to 9 p.m, six days a week work schedule that is apparently the new thing in San Fran's tech scene. How many of you would be okay with something like that? How feasible is the L5 to L6 promo for S&O at G? Currently at a non-FAANG big tech (e.g., Adobe, Salesforce, etc.) and got an L5 offer that’s 10% higher comp than my current TC. But here I am a top performer and have clear path to L6 level TC in a couple of years.

Any thoughts on the best org to get a lean six sigma black belt cert from? Company is paying and I get a bonus for obtaining. Seems like IASSC, ASQ, & CSSC are the best. I’m not sure which one to go with though, or if it really matters. Any advice would be helpful.
