Has anyone heard of SPC Consulting LLC? I just received a job offer from them which is a customer service remote position. They’ve sent everything to me like the W-4 form, I-9 form and even a check for almost $4,000 to purchase everything I will need to do the job. But I haven’t given them any of my information because I’m not sure if it’s legit. The hiring manager asked me to deposit the check using my mobile banking app and to send him a screenshot of the funds as proof. It sounds like a scam.

I've been looking for another IT remote role and yes I feel like I've hit a wall. It's like AI has taken over the application process and it's not fair when most of us are qualified for them. This is one of the reason why I don't like AI. My other issue are the amount of recruiters from India that send me emails about jobs that either don't exist or have ended. When a company fires 25% of a group dedicated to people, it really makes you zoom all the way out and look at the state of the world. Is the goal of AI to make the dumb dumber and the smart smarter? Companies need divisions dedicated to the unique needs of humans but in a world where we care more about technology than the body that built it, is this the new normal?

Has anyone here ever seen their work featured in another agency’s case study? I just found this out today. I worked on a project years ago and another agency launched a very similar idea for the same client just weeks later, but in Canada. I came across their case study today and it used direct footage of our project on it. It’s even on their site.

I've been applying to jobs as a remote editor. A company named Mercor actually hired me for a position after a long interview with an AI bot. They wanted to do a background check and wanted me to fill out a W-2. I didn't do it because I was not sure if this was an actually company. Does anyone know if this is a legitimate company?

My relieving letter says 'Process Associate' but I did AI data classification. Need advice on getting the right duty description in the reference letter or using a Statutory Declaration. Thanks!"
