On my movie watch list - The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist is a deeply personal documentary that explores the existential crossroads of artificial intelligence. The film is framed through Roher’s own journey into fatherhood; as he prepares to welcome his first child, he is gripped by "AI insanity" and the dire warnings that the technology could either save or end humanity. Are parts of your job already being automated? How many here are out of jobs because of AI or got jobs because of AI?

AI is valuable but it’s starting to feel like most people are just editing what the algorithm spits out. Shouldn’t we be flipping that? Making the creative first, then testing it against AI for gaps or trends? Especially in advertising, where originality still matters. AI should be the intern, not the creative director. https://www.inc.com/joe-procopio/dont-be-ais-editor/91206885

What will we do once AI can do my current job? Am I doom and gloom or is it a valid question? I am currently in process documentation and optimization and although it’s not good enough yet, AI has gotten significantly better in the past 2 years. Am I just SOL after the programs get good enough unless I pivot myself?

The Senior Dev who interviewed me last week was an AI-generated avatar. The company bragged during the wrap-up that they use these Digital Twins for first-round technicals to save their engineers' time. I spent an hour trying to build rapport with a sequence of pixeIs. Anyone else weirded out by the AI Interviewer trend?

As with any new technology, there are so many instructional videos and suggestions on how to learn about AI. I do use AI, but I still feel like a total novice. Could anyone direct me to the most valuable videos and some AI-certified programs that are not outrageously priced or overly complex? Many thanks.

How has AI helped you do your job? For me, I use it as a research tool that allows me to do brainstorming, especially alone, in a way that helps me develop new ideas to finish my work. And that’s just to start, as I’m looking for more ways it can help. What about you in your role?

“AI won't take your job, but people who know how to use AI will." How true do you think this really is? Are we all gearing up to become AI power-users? I just dont see this being the case the higher you climb in finance roles
