Anyone else feel like even your go to escapes have lost their magic? I’m craving somewhere that actually lets you breathe. Somewhere quiet, private, and genuinely soul filling no sceney crowds, no pressure. Lately, i enjoyed Comporta, Portugal. The empty dunes, wild beaches, and minimalist villas tucked among pine forests. I stayed at Sublime Comporta and loved waking up to rice paddy sunsets and private sea food feasts under the trees and Lisbon not far away. Where are your reset places?

Looking for a spot in the Philippines where I can spend 3-4 weeks in Feb to write/design in the mornings (wifi is key) and beachy exploration things in the afternoons. I don’t drink and I don’t party. I am solo, but a friend or family member may join for a piece. My budget for accommodations is in the $500-$600 range for the month (this is a multi month trip and the money‘s got to stretch). Less is better, obvs. Any recommendations on a place or town that isn’t crawling with 20 somethings?

I've desperately been searching for a job, to no avail. After hundreds of applications and being told by recruiters I have an impressive background, I still can't land interviews, let alone a job. After hours and hours of research, I started putting together a list of places that hire remotely for all kinds of positions and thought I'd share it as I know many people are in the same boat as I am. If you know of other places, add them to the list!

Happy Monday Glassdoor-ians! I am super bummed today. I was supposed to be traveling for work this week but my team proactively cancelled due to the shut down because they did not want flights impacted by the FAA issues. Well, now flights have returned to normal and we aren't rescheduling any time soon. Looking for recommendations for places to take my laptop for a change of scenery. I live in a major city so any location type is on the table!

Thought it'd be interesting to get a real read on where everyone's at. I'll go first: Creative Director, LA, 8 years in the industry, sitting at $175k base. No bonus to speak of. Feels like I've hit a ceiling and not sure if it's me or the market. Where are you landing and do you feel like you're being paid what you're worth?

My home office is getting a little too familiar these days, so I'm looking for new ideas for some great cafes or other spots downtown with solid Wi-Fi where I can set up my laptop for a few hours. I'm hoping for places that are cool with professionals settling in to work. Any spots that you would recommend?

In Chicago for the weekend for lollapalooza and it is such a a cool city. I’ve never been here before. My friend mentioned moving here and i don’t know seems like something I can see myself doing. Does anyone know the restaurant Jon scene out here? I heard it’s suppose to be pretty good.

At this point, my strongest professional skill might be sounding cheerful in Slack while fully spiraling. I haven’t been more ready for a vacation in my life. I’m looking for ideas one where to go. Where is your favorite place to visit when you finally get some time off?

I'm really trying to get a proper getaway/ reset because my brain feels overused and overstimulated. Something green, slow, and peaceful. I'm sure looking at your phone, laptop and iPad all day every day will do that for you. Willing to go anywhere in the States. Where should I go?
