      Insurance

      Property and Casualty Insurance Agent
      8mo

I obtained my General lines property and casualty license on my own because I wanted to start a new career. I recently started working for a State Farm agent .. There is zero support in the office. I was rushed through the training process. Anytime I ask for help I'm treated like a burden and told to look it up myself. Which I don't mind looking for answers on my own at all but there has been no real training at all! Is this normal for State Farm or are all insurance agencies like this?

Today I had a 2nd interview with State Farm that went well, but I DO NOT like the fact that they lied to me about the location of their office in the job description on Indeed. The main reason why I applied to the Insurance Rep. Position (besides the fact that I am unemployed & need a freaking JOB) is because of the close location to where I live. It turns out the State farm agent who listed the job has a 2ND OFFICE LOCATION that wasn't even mentioned in the job posting AT ALL!! (CONTD)

Big News Fans! I'm officially a landowner-over 60+ acres in Lincoln County, Washington! This is more than just a milestone, it's proof that with faith, vision, and the right opportunities, anything is possible. What started as a leap into crypto trading has turned into real, tangible success-and I'm beyond grateful. From investments to land ownership, this journey has been nothing short of amazing. To anyone reading this: God designed you for success. If it feels impossible, keep going-it's a

I have an in person interview with State Farm tomorrow and want to know if its absolutely necessary for me to print out my resume to bring with me? Do people still do this? Also, is it required to renew your Property & Casualty license every year once you obtain it? Im unemployed and just need a job right now. Ive exhausted all of the temp agencies I reached out to & they all suck & never help me find anything. Not in the mood for the holidays either. I just want time to myself. Family is toxic

I know startups these days are tech focused, anyone interested in something more physical? I am looking at an agricultural co-op based on Italian models, where farmers pool capital and own the entire value chain. Either small specialty dairy or meat farms where output is process in a co-op facility and then sold either DTC or wholesale. This means no middleman squeezing the farmers and much higher margins for them. can still have same corporate style benefits like insurance, PTO, etc..

In terms of benefits, job outlook, raises, work-life balance, and sustainability as well as does the job fulfill you? I am debating wealth management or a job with the state.. I’ve done internships in both and will graduate in a year and I’m conflicted. I have also thought about getting 20 years with the state retiring while I’m in my 40s then going to work in a private industry. But I’ve been told to do that in the reverse order and go work with the state when I’m ready to settle down

Hello yall, this could seem like an extreme career change but hear me out. I’ve been a welder my whole working life and I think I need a change. I recently got a house in Frankfurt, Germany as an inheritance. I’m really thinking of selling it and buying myself a farm (20 hectares or so) in the south of Germany. I do have a little bit of farming experience but nothing major and I love working with big machines. Could this be a good idea or the biggest waste of cash of my life?
